recently got myself a 780ti which works great, but won't go below 52% power usage. it will go higher, but it won't go down even though the usage is at 0%.

I've tried reinstalling my drivers with no luck. the only changes I've made in the driver settings are these two:

reverting back to default settings doesn't help either, so any clue why it won't go any lower?
This is sometimes due to BIOS settings, there are power options in there

what am I looking for in particular? I went in there but I'm not sure what I'm after. my mobo is the MSI Z97 MPower
gonna have to bump this. I've googled to no avail and I'm really clueless why it won't go any further down. have checked my BIOS settings too, but there's nothing that catches my attention.
does GPUz report the same?

it doesn't look like it, unless TDP != power?
Yeah. The percentage is % of TDP, which is why you can go above 100%. Honestly even at idle the 780ti is still going to suck some power though. I'd go with what GPUZ says though.

Essentially GPU usage percent is out of that percent. So your maximum power is sitting at 52% TDP, but your usage is still 0. (Or if GPU usage were 100%, and power was 50%, you'd still only be using 50% of the total power your GPU is capable of under normal settings)
Does it normally idle in the mid 40s, or did you take that screenshot shortly after you quit a game? I know that's not terribly hot, but most other 780 Tis I've seen sit between 25C and 35C when they're not under load. If you're still worried about the voltage issue, you could download one of those GPU overclocking platforms like MSI Afterburner or EVGA PrecisionX and dial down your settings to use less power when you're not playing a game (and obviously to clock everything back up when you do want to play a game).

it idles in mid 40c at all times, yeah. before this problem happened, temperature at idle was 27c. sounds like an inconvenient solution to manually adjust the voltage though
