Catarina Migliorini Sells Virginity For $780,000; Male Virgin Alex Stepanov Gets $3,000
Catarina Migliorini, 20, is auctioning off her virginity for charity, and received a winning bid of $780,000 for virtue.

By losing something, Catarina Migliorini could gain $780,000. The 20-year-old Brazilian woman has been auctioning off her virginity online for the past few weeks and a man from Japan known as "Natsu" came out on top with the winning bid. Natsu beat out five other bidders after a feverish final day where the price of Migliorini's virtue jumped from $190,000 on Oct. 23 to the final $780,000 price tag. The news wasn't so good for her male counterpart, Alex Stepanov, whose virginity only racked up $3,000 from a woman in Brazil named "Nene B." Although Migliorini, a physical education student, has claimed to media that she planned to donate as much as 90 percent of the auction price to charities that will build homes in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina, even auction organizer Justin Sisely, who devised the plan for a proposed documentary, was skeptical. "I was surprised she said that because in all my dealings with her, she made it clear that it was a business decision for her," Australian filmmaker Justin Sisely told The Huffington Post recently. "Now, given how big this story is in Brazil, she's trapped. If she doesn't give any money to charity, she's going to look bad." Now that the price of virginity has been established, "Natsu" will be tested for sexually transmitted diseases before getting his big shot with Migliorini aboard a plane flying between Australia and the U.S. -- Sisely's attempt to circumvent prostitution laws. Migliorini will also undergo an examination to prove she is as pure as the driven snow -- before the actual driving commences. The actual sex act will not be filmed, but both Migliorini and "Natsu" will be interviewed before and after the auctioned-off intercourse, the New York Daily News reported. "Natsu" will be allowed to remain anonymous without his photo appearing in the media. In order to ensure the encounter is as tasteful as possible, sex toys are not allowed and "Natsu" must wear a condom. Although having sex in exchange for money pretty much defines prostitution, Migliorini doesn't see it that way. "If you only do it once in your life then you are not a prostitute, just like if you take one amazing photograph it does not automatically make you a photographer," she said, according to the Daily Mail. "The auction is just business, I'm a romantic girl at heart and believe in love. But this will make a big difference to my area." That was Sisely's goal when he started working on the documentary two years ago. "This is about transforming life," he told HuffPost. "These people will be different afterwards. Their lives won't be the same. Catarina is the biggest story in Brazil right now. Where will she go after this?" As for the "donation," it may be hard to find a charity willing to take cash from a person who got it by selling her virginity to the highest bidder, according to Cleon Daskalakis, a former Boston Bruin who now runs NetRaffle.org, a company that raises money for charities on the Internet. "This type of transaction is setting a dangerous precedent, not to mention a call for global prostitution on a one-time basis," he told HuffPost. "To those of us who promote professional and successful fundraising vehicles, this is a disgrace. I can't imagine any legitimate charity would want to be associated with this type of promotion." The virgin auction has received worldwide attention as well as skepticism from journalists like William K. Wolfrum, who points out that the production company behind the film, Thomas Williams Productions, seems to have little more than experience doing wedding videos. "Basically, let me wrap this up as I see it: An unheard-of director is working with an unheard-of producer. Two years ago, they floated out the idea of auctioning off virgins and filming the sexual encounters. Two years later, they are back and say the sex will happen by the end of the month," he wrote on his website.
This is a update to the previous story.
Well... at least it's something, where do i sign up ?
Damn, mine is already gone and I got nothing for it :(
Sad but true, it would vary per person. Somebody make up a formula.
The news wasn't so good for her male counterpart, Alex Stepanov, whose virginity only racked up $3,000 from a woman in Brazil named "Nene B."
Hell, if I knew virginity was worth even that much, I would have charged for my first time :v:

Understandably she wants to look good, but now she'll look even worse if she doesn't. If she donates the money, great, but already she looks like a money grubbing asshole. The only thing to make me think twice is if she actually donates.
They can't prove I'm not a virgin because no one I have sex with will admit to sleeping with me! Bwahaha I will be rich!

Also there is a huge disparity here. The chick was advertised so much heavier than the guy. Look at the website. They've got studio shots of the chick versus just a regular portrait of the guy. Plus she's always wearing next to nothing in her pictures. I think it'd be an interesting comparison to make, but it's not nearly an accurate representation of any sort of disparity between them. It's such a clash of marketing, and for all we know, the guy only got $3,000 because he's got poorly lit photographs and doesn't try an advertise himself nearly as much.

What? [editline]25th October 2012[/editline]
Also there is a huge disparity here. The chick was advertised so much heavier than the guy. Look at the website.
Virginity dots behind the ears? What? [editline]25th October 2012[/editline] Or women are just prized more by men sexually than men are prized sexually by women.
I'm not saying they aren't, but the disparity in this case can't be taken nearly as seriously. The man doesn't look nearly as attractive as the female because of their photography. Before they had the sold graphic on there, the guy had this half smile, looking awkwardly into the distance, and it's so poorly lit. It doesn't accentuate the jawline, and in general, upwards facing photography is a big no-no when trying to accentuate "masculine" features. Then, you've got the girl in a sexy position, on a beach, shirt open to the wind, hair half over her face, and she's not even looking at the camera. Then what's worse is the main page photo: [t]http://i.imgur.com/R3zYr.jpg[/t] You've got the well lit, naked female, versus the awkward smile, poorly lit, and poorly framed guy. I'm not saying a disparity between the value of virginity doesn't exist, but the point I'm trying to make is that it's nowhere near a fair comparison. If they had put up some professional studio shots of his glistening body or whatever, maybe he'd look way more attractive than he is, and people would actually want to pay money to fuck him. I mean, the chick is a total butter-face, but her first picture definitely doesn't show that. The first picture pretty much makes her look like magazine model material.
But chloroform and a rag doesn't cost $780,000...
because there's nothing really appealing about male virgins mainly because they would make horrible lovers, they'd cum in like 10 seconds
Understandably that's a large component, but I still stand by the fact that if you put up Ryan Gosling (or even just an average guy, but dress him up and take a real picture of him), there would be a lot more than $3,000 for the man.
SEXIST [editline]25th October 2012[/editline]
because there's nothing really appealing about male virgins mainly because they would make horrible lovers, they'd cum in like 10 seconds
WHEN I LOST MY VIRGINITY, SHE CAME 7 TIMES. who would pay to take a dude's virginity?
who would pay to take a dude's virginity?
more importantly it's not like males have an equivalent to the hymen so you could just lie to people about being a virgin

If you only murder one person, it does not automatically make you a murderer. :downs:

She's definitely pretty but not $780,000 pretty.
Somehow i'd imagine i'd be lucky to get even a fiver for my virginity :/ At least that'd buy me a pint or some crisps.
Sad but true, it would vary per person. Somebody make up a formula.
$$$ = Boobs - pointiness of elbows
I am selling my virginity for $5
Eugh, I can only imagine that the winning bid is some fat, old, greasy overweight man who wants more than just her virginity. Thats how I picture what the person who would win my bid would be like.
If this Natsu guy is also a virgin, does he get $3000 cashback?
