just noticed, its coming out for PS4 but not PS3, and Xbox360 but not Xbox1.
Shanty Town Destruction 5 "Why the fuck wont you move into that apartment block I just built for you, THERE IS NO RENT!" I love tropico, and even though it seems really skewed sometimes it's just too funny to stop playing. Also the soundtrack is catchy as fuck.

Either they can't move in because they have no job, i.e. no money to pay the rent. Or, they have a job and money, but there isn't a house to live in. Also the word is shacks, shanty's are actually a good place for newly arrived immigrants.
El Presidente provides free housing
You can do that via building a shanty, since it's free, or passing the free housing edict which isn't much a good idea. Or you could make a tenement with no rent and wait until people in that tenement has a money making job, then raise it up.
To be honest it just looks like yet another minor update to the previous one, like all the other Tropicos have been. I loved Tropico 4 but aside from the multiplayer this doesn't seem like it offers anything

I'm really excited about the extended timeline though. The best part about Tropico in my opinion is watching you island grow over time, and if they're balancing the game for a 200 year time frame then I have to imagine it'll be fantastic.

The first thing my brain jumped to was a game made about Tropsical guy
I never really paid attention to these series, and did try playing one for a short while. Not really sure, they just didn't really grab my attention too much.
Yes, YES, YYYEESSSS!!
0/10 Did not build Cineplex facing road
I never managed to build a big and functioning city in T4, the roads always got jammed and people got out of their cars and the teamsters never made it to the harbours in time. I tried making alternative routes and stuff but it never really worked. How did you guys deal with the traffic?
Traffic wasn't really a problem to me, garages kept getting overfilled and people wanted to live in shacks more than real homes, also I had homeless people moving into mansions
Traffic wasn't really a problem to me, garages kept getting overfilled and people wanted to live in shacks more than real homes, also I had homeless people moving into mansions
I hope we can have tunnels, bridges, and even 4 ways n highways.
I hope there is more cruel ways to dictate the people. Yeah you can build labor camps and execute ton of people in Tropico 4 but playing good leader gets stale after awhile. Really like that the time line has been expanded over several centuries in Tropico 5 it seems.

On a side note, <---- Excited. [editline]7th March 2014[/editline] [sp]I have Penultimo as my avatar.[/sp]

If you have over filled garages traffic congestion (at those points) is reducing logistical efficiency.

Looks exactly like Tropico 4, which was basically Tropico 3.5
