Amnesia The Dark Descent NO TURNING BACK NOW

Okay so I've just started a let's play on Amnesia The Dark Descent and i wanted to ask any kind soul out there for any tips or pointers while playing this game. I heard the game is puzzle based and I've only got one Part out at the moment. Please don't post any spoilers but if you guys have any tips or pointers yes please.

It doesn't seem too bad so far but i'm really nervous about this Let's Play as I've heard this game is one of the scariest games out there. I barely got through playing a game called Nightmare House 2. There's no turning back now :/

My favourite thing about this game is that unlike deadspace where you get good and shooting stuff it's no longer scary at all, in amnesia I found it quite scary throughout.

Play with your brightness much lower, otherwise it really isn't that scary

but change the contrast before uploading the video
