Alright facepunch, my computer wont frighin work for the life of me!! I turn it on no beeps, and no screen. it starts, fans spin cpu fan spins, lights... no beeps.... and no screen. i took the gpu out, the ram sticks, changed slots.. re-plugged everything... i tried a different hd, i put my HD in a different computer, I've come to think it's the mobo or processor. Has anyone had any similar problems that could possibly narrow this down.... as inexpensive as possible or solution? Thanks in advance
The beep is when POST has finished and the rest of the boot process is handed to the bootloader for the OS. If the beep isnt happening, it probably means that the BIOS is failing somewhere. If you have onboard graphics, I'd use that to see if you are getting any output, otherwise try and swap the motherboard and test it.
i have dual bios but i cant get a screen, is there a way to change them? and i tried taking the graphics card out
You could try the old fashioned way by taking the CMOS battery out for a few minutes. It will reset your BIOS settings to factory default. As for your graphics issue, if I recall, some (I think most) BIOS wont POST if you dont have any graphical output device (You dont have a monitor connected).
To be honest, there isn't a easy way to fix this. Unless you can test the motherboard CPU and GPU by switching the parts. If you have onboard video, try using that and see if you can get it to boot. For the CPU, you can try putting spare in there and see if it bootsup. For the motherboard, you can put your CPU in a spare mobo and see if that boots up. There is 3 components that can cause this type of issue. One is the motherboard, two is the CPU and the third is the GPU. RAM won't be an issue here, as RAM isnt checked til those 3 other components are running. For the dual BIOS, thats usually something for flashing. You can switch it usually by somewhere on the board, resort to using your motherboard manual. Keep in mind, what you're experiencing is probably a component failure and will require you to warranty/RMA or buy a new one. You just have to weed out what component failed.
Most probably the motherboard, as CPU's very rarely fail
See if numlock works If so, it's the GPU If not, it's probably the motherboard or ram, also could be the psu
