I'd expect a movie like Clash of the Titans to do some more research than that. Kraken is a Norwegian/Old Norwegian word. It's already in it's definite article. We do not have "The" infront of the words, but we have it at the end of the word. In this case it's -en. So it should either be "Release The Krake" or "Release Kraken".
Just FYI.
EDIT:Seriously... I do one search. End up on Wikipedia, and it even says so here... They didn't even look on wikipedia when they made this movie!

Because Wikipedia is a reliable source :words:
Also the kraken is a mythological creature, Therefore it's "the kraken" ...
...I don't know :v:

The Wikipedia part wasn't really serious lol. But it's still right. Kraken is already a specified word. To say Kraken, is like saying "The Chair." To say Krake, is like saying "Chair."
Either "The Krake" or "Kraken " You can't have both lol. Well you could if you want, but it'd still be wrong.
The Kraken is a hero from that dota clone Heroes of Newerth. A badass one (Jaaaarrrrrr)
It seems like there is some kind of inner joke running on the HoN forums.

How is saying "The Chair" Wrong? If it's a specific chair it's the chair, therefor it's The kraken..? Right? :psyboom:
According to him it would be like saying "Release The The Kraken".

Read what i said one more time. "Kraken" is like saying "The Chair." You dont need the "The" infront of Kraken. I didn't say "The Kraken" is like saying "The Chair". I said "Kraken" is like saying "The Chair."
Ok let me use chair as further example.
"A Chair" in norwegian is "En Stol." "A chair" = "En stol" "The chair" = "Stolen " (En = One)
Do you see? So saying "The Kraken", is like saying "The Stolen", which is like saying "The The Chair."

Exactly.
Who cares, "kraken" is a mythical sea creature in popular culture, there was no need for them to be utterly correct grammar wise in the movie and confuse all their viewers.

Mindfuck :psypop:
"Who cares" is one of those arguments that I associate with people who cannot spell and don't know grammar because they're always the ones to use it when one points out that they're typing like idiots.
Obviously someone cares because you got to ask it. And you care because there was discussion. I care because I find it interesting.
Sort of like people who say "the hoi polloi" and are just saying "the the people?"
This thread is full of mind fuck
Eh, was an alright video.
I don't think this is the best thing to see before going to bed.
Oh well more trippy nightmares for me. :v:
