Why do job applications need such awkward questions -.-

Someone help me with this please
'Describe an occasion when you have had to be proactive and use your initiative to get a task done. What did you have to consider to ensure that the task was a success? *'
Bullshit it. You want a job don't you?
that's not even an awkward question
That's a completely reasonable question :colbert:
Some of the questions are bullshit, however they help determine if you can actually handle the every day job tasks they give you.
I have also been told that they look for contradictory answers, such as if you answer one question one way, then answer a similar question differently.
That's an awkward question if you're a shut-in who sits playing WoW all day and hasn't done a bit of any type of work in their life.
If they don't ask these questions, how can they ensure candidates are suitable for the job?
They ask questions like that so they can see how you react under pressure, or how you can work when plans change, etc.
Perfectly valid question.

Talk about a group project in school that you started or the likes.
OP will never get a job.
I hate those kind of questions, since I can never remember anything.
It's not awkward, it'll help to ensure that you're the right one for the job. As will all of them, when you think about it. Just answer them honestly and you'll get the job.
Boss: Describe an occasion when you have had to be proactive and use your initiative to get a task done. What did you have to consider to ensure that the task was a success?
OP: Hmm, well, I did raid this place once on WoW, it required lightning fast mouse skills and determination!
Boss: :frog:
OP: :smug:
Here's a tip OP: don't use "-.-" or "=/". It makes you looks like a 10 year old fag. Go here:

correcting somebody on their use of emoticons makes you look like a fag too
How is that awkward?
Just lie. You were home alone, and your house was extremely messy. You cleaned it all up.
That's the kinda shit you'll probably be doing at work anyway.
Ran out of toilet paper. Used newspaper instead.
They'll be like "You're CEO material"
Your to stupid to have a job OP.
Try "and you understand you may be asked to kill or harm people"
"i was playing domination on crash and we were at 195 the other team had 198 so at the last second i captured c and we dominated them and won 200-199 shit was cash"

'If you were naked with my daughter in her bedroom as i just open the door, what would be your excuse?' I remember that question on mine.

hahahha xD genius.
You have poor perception of "Awkward questions"
You have to have done something or been a part of at least one thing. If you haven't that's quite sad..

awkward questions is when your boss asks you if you're a virgin....and he's gay.
