After fishing the poor little fella out of the water it looked like he was a goner. But then our hero noticed faint signs of life – and that’s when he started filming. The pool guy, Rick Gruber from Phoenix, Arizona, remembered his CPR recovery training and began pinching the little squirrel until it started to move. After the abdominal massage and a recuperative nap in Gruber’s kneepad, the squirrel got to its feet and felt well enough to scamper back home to the woods. ‘Pool guys aren’t so bad, are they?’ said Gruber after his heroic actions. He revealed he also has a new nickname: The Squirrel Whisperer.
http://metro.co.uk/2014/06/06/ever-seen-a-drowned-squirrel-being-brought-back-to-life-4752197/
that fucking voice is obnoxious as fuck, jesus
Reporter or Rick?
Instantly thought of that guy that legitimately "saved" chimpanzee's life by licking his anus for an hour Not even kidding
I wonder why the squirrel had such a problem with the pool. I know squirrels aren't aquatic critters, but surely they must have some instinct about coping with water after millions of years of evolution. Kind of like how dogs will at the very least do a doggy paddle in water even though they're not aquatic.
that fucking voice is obnoxious as fuck, jesus
dont bite him there
So is it a prairie dog or a fucking squirrel?
Looks more like a prairie dog, not only the environment seen in it, but squirrels typically have pretty bushy tails. It's general appearance looks more like a prairie dog as well. Squirrel. Prairie dog. Of course, maybe it's just some particular type of squirrel that looks just dramatically different.
So is it a prairie dog or a fucking squirrel?
Prairie dogs are squirrels.
So is it a prairie dog or a fucking squirrel?
*snip* after watching the whole video and getting a better sense of scale, it's a ground squirrel.
Video is already gone
It's a prairie dog. They're all over the damn place around here, so kinda hard to mistake one for anything else. We do have what are called "ground squirrels" though, which look more like chipmunks than squirrels strangely enough.
Prairie dogs are a species of squirrel called prairie dogs.

That poor squirrel. As he revived it looked like he was thinking "It's hot they said, go for a swim they said, it'll be fun they said."
