The beginning took a little long to get going, but it was well done. Needs a little more beat down on the drops, and the following part (1:16) sounds a little lacking. Over all, it sounds a little too low pitched; Needs some more distinctive synth leads. The ending was pretty kick-ass.
Second play through, and I'm enjoying it more. Pretty catchy. It still seems like its lacking in the lead parts. I turned down my bass, and its still seemed to be over powered.
The Synths are way too loud and try to compress the kick a bit
It's a good premise, but you really need to mix some shit to get the best sound.
As previously stated, those synths are far too loud. The kick muddys up the synths and could also do with some compression. The snare is almost redundant, make it more punchy.
Some polish and this would be great, keep at it.
Good idea I've found is instead of side chaining the kick and snares volume to get them to punch through the synths, try side chaining them to an EQ that ducks certain frequencies.. everything under 130 or so for the kick, and then the low end of the snare and the high snap.
