He does make good points though, can't deny that. Why can't we play D3 offline? The auction house doesn't matter to me, you'll always find people wanting to trade for shit at least this way Blizzard can keep it under their noses. Blizzard has made some rather, un-blizzard decisions lately. And it makes me wonder if it's because of Activision.
The main problem I have with this is exactly the same one I have with StarCraft 2 albeit it is something rarely brought up. Like SC2, Diablo 3 will apparently be region locked. Thus I will be unable to play it with my friends abroad which drops my motivation for purchase to zero.

Un-blizzard is a really good way to put it. Ever since the second half of Wotlk everything has been much easier, faster paced, simpler, and they've released tons of vanity items. WoW wasn't hard before but now it's so easy its boring.
