Not sure why, but it almost feels like the Green Lantern all over again.
Wait it's real? First time I saw ant man announcement I thought it was a joke.
Pretty psyched
I was under the impression it'd be Hank Pym Ant-Man but they're goin to Scott Lang instead it seems, I guess I missed when that was announced
First Chris Pratt and now Paul Rudd. Two actors known for being in comedy roles and getting scooped up by Marvel to star in a big superhero blockbuster. Also damn, Paul Rudd lookin' good at age 45.
Looks pretty sweet. However I wish they showed off the heist elements more. That would sell it better than just a typical "be the hero you were meant to be" thing, especially for this type of character. They'll probably do that in the full trailers though.

I certainly hope not.
But can the suit kick up the 4d3d3d3?
Okay, I fell for it again.
why on earth did they make it so 'gritty' and 'hardcore'?? it's freakin' ant-man, they could have totally gone balls to the wall with this one!!!
pretty disappointed, tbh. they're doing pretty well in their other advertisements, but this one's just another cookie-cutter action movie trailer (complete with ~loud epic soundtrack #23~)
i hope this is one of the situations where they purposely dumbed down the trailer for the mass market (for an example, see Tangled)

honestly thought they were going for the story of ant man becoming the yellow jacket and they were going to make ant man a character that went, "I see Iron man and captain america be superheros, I can be that guy because I'm just as smart as tony stark".

At least it didn't ruin the whole plot like other trailers.

It's both. Hank Pym has trained Scott Lang to be his successor by this point.

i think that's part of the joke
i mean up until the 'huh' you could think it was just another weird action movie
but then he says the name and you can tell by lang's reaction that they're not goign to be super cereal u guys

did you get to the end of the trailer
they end it on "is it too late to change the name" i doubt that it's going to be gritty at all lmao, the whole trailer was a joke
The poster is pretty great

ill watch anything with paul rudd in it
Who the fuck comes up with this shit? a man riding a giant ant? jesus...
That's a pretty generic trailer. I have a feeling this will be more like Thor: The Dark World. Enjoyable but forgettable.

Couldn't find a picture of Jack Kirby flipping off the camera, but I'm 100% sure he did it to Stan Lee some time in his life so imagine he flipped you off by proxy.
I wish Edgar Wright hadn't left, that man can do no wrong
I wonder what's up with the trailer using the same drum beat as Age of Ultron
It's both. Hank Pym has trained Scott Lang to be his successor by this point.
Oh yeah I understand, I just mean I wasn't expecting it to go to that point where Scott Lang was the successor from the get go. I expected it to center around just Hank Pym first
Is it small humans or big ants
I don't know
Who the fuck comes up with this shit? a man riding a giant ant? jesus...
Actually the ant is normal-sized, it's Ant-Man who is ant-sized.

Incase you don't have a reason to not believe Paul Rudd is an amazing human.

Well wasn't Ultron made by hank pym, at least in part?
Well wasn't Ultron made by hank pym, at least in part?
Not for the Cinematic universe. Since Ant-man won't be in Ultron they said that [sp] Stark [/sp] is making Ultron.

I thought for the MCU they were going with [sp]Howard Stark and Hank Pym initially working on ultron back in the day, failing and abandoning the project, then modern-day tony stark finding their work and finishing it?[/sp] That way he still technically worked on it.
Oh hey, Hope Van Dyne's in this one.
Wasp confirmed?
