Aberdeen fans said the man ran ablaze through the carriage as others threw beer on him to douse the flames. The Edinburgh to Aberdeen service was stopped at Kirkcaldy at about 1900 GMT on Saturday to allow him to be treated. British Transport Police said a 23-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the incident. A second man is reported to have suffered slight injuries. The train was carrying Aberdeen football supporters back home after their side's match against Hibs in Edinburgh. It is understood a number of the fans at the match and on the train were dressed as sheep. The train involved, an Arriva cross-country train, was the 1808 GMT service from Edinburgh to Aberdeen. The fan who suffered burns is said to be in a serious but stable condition in hospital in Kirkcaldy. British Transport Police said the arrested man was expected to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Monday.
hahahaha
Why were they dressed as sheep?
Awesome, though I'm more surprised that he was not raped by the people from Aberdeen.
That must have been a sheepish experience.
Quite the amphibolous title you have there. Was a man, dressed as a sheep, set on fire, or did a man dress himself as a sheep that was set on fire? WE MAY NEVER KNOW FOR SURE! Oh wait no, the article says.

he just burst into flames for no reason? oops, just reread. nevermind.
That must have been an awful costume. Had it been a quality costume made of wool, he'd have been fine. I find it hilarious that he chose to dress up as the animal which provides us with the base material for firefighter clothing and fire blankets and then CAUGHT ON FIRE.
lulz
I always thought football fans were sheeps, this just takes it to a new level.
I'm a little bit happier when I read the story, I mis read the title as "Depressed man sets sheep on fire".
Awesome, though I'm more surprised that he was not raped by the people from Aberdeen.
Get your stereotypes right, it's the Welsh that are the sheep fiddlers and last I checked, Aberdeen wasn't in Wales.
Was he Welsh?

This is the first time I heard a Man in Sheep's clothing. Usually it would be a wolf
Get your stereotypes right, it's the Welsh that are the sheep fiddlers and last I checked, Aberdeen wasn't in Wales.
Aberdeen football supporters are known as sheep shaggers around scotland. It's the one exception to the welsh.
Aberdeen football supporters are known as sheep shaggers around scotland. It's the one exception to the welsh.
And Derby County supporters.
Get your stereotypes right, it's the Welsh that are the sheep fiddlers and last I checked, Aberdeen wasn't in Wales.
No people from Aberdeen are sheep shaggers too, you need to get your stereotypes right
he just burst into flames for no reason? oops, just reread. nevermind.
If he had just burst into flame, that'd suck for him.
I can't stop laughing at the mental image of this guy dressed as a sheep running around on fire while everyone chucks beer about.
I can't stop laughing at the mental image of this guy dressed as a sheep running around on fire while everyone chucks beer about.
Mate thats a quiet night out in scotland.
Mate thats a quite night out in scotland.
If you mean quiet then you're right. Rated agree.
It was a Baaahhh Idea.
A man dressed as a sheep, set on fire, while on a train. Sounds like a long joke.
Yiff in hell furfags
clever boy, let's all have a round of applause eh
Yiff in hell furfags
you sir are quite mistaken. Sheep do not yiff, they "baa" so I guess if you still want to make this meme-based you could reword this in such a way: "Bawwwwww in hell, furfags"
And Derby County supporters.
And residents of Yorkshire (apparently) [editline]10:14PM[/editline]
you sir are quite mistaken.
