I just suddenly had a flashback of a saturday morning cartoon from Australia in the 2000's - an animated show for kids that was pretty fucked up for the its time.
The protagonists were a boy and a girl who were boarding or lived near a caryard with an.. uncle? Something like that. Every episode some weird crap would go down - two things I can think of are a large amount of insects being hugeified and another where all electrical appliances suddenly become homicidal. Probably a living scarecrow in there as well. The usual.
Not too scary, but there was a common creature that showed up - these large green worms or grubs that sucked the innards out of living things and left their skins behind. I think the appearance and increase in numbers of these creatures was the overarching plotline for the series. Damn those things gave me nightmares.
For some reason I suddenly remembered this show and the repressed trauma those worms wrought apon my over-imaginitive child mind.
Now I can not know peace until I find this show and watch it. This time, I will be ready.
HOLY MOLEY. Just remembered another one. This was a live action TV show, bunch of schoolkids were being stalked by an ugly purple midget-doll which had its brain exposed. Fuuuuck, that doll.
This shit seems so weird for TV back then. I have not ruled out the possibilty that I am insane.
Please help!
