http://soundcloud.com/gnohm/break-the-chain some more dubstep shi I made I put Xzibit in it cause his voice is badass Also, fun fact: I made the main bassline and the beat while I was tripping on LSD
I still think you should dirtify your bass more. It sounds too raw with just a filter on top of it. You can try messing with ringmod or something.
Yeeeah I dig what you're saying, but there is more than "just a filter" on it. Are you saying the overall bass needs to be dirtier, or I should just have more breaks that fuckify the texture of it? or both?
Pretty damn good, The only thing I don't like is the sound of the main synth, it sounds too.. corny for a dubstep track. Don't know how to describe it.. I'd play around with it a little bit more if i were you. Great work!

I bet you it'd sound better if I shifted the wavetable that's mostly responsible for that clean squareish sound just a tiny bit. I was going for clean, but it probably is a little too clean.
The "breaks that fuckify the texture" are great, but the general sound it has is too simple for dubstep I think.
Word. Relistening I can definitely see how I could thicken the textures a lot.
I really like it to be honest.
This was fucking great, I really enjoyed it
I uploaded another version, I changed the bass a little so it's a bit dirtier.
