i had to double take at the title. looks awesome.
That was a chain-whip sword thing.
2015 cannot come sooner.
I want that whip sword so I can be red Chaika, but I want that hammer too so I can be a space marine

These larger enemies are getting freakier as development progresses. With no shield , there will be no safe haven from these monsters. They all have this Lovecraft feel to them that just chills me whenever they appear in a video. 1st gameplay demo had that spider-thing, The co-op trailer had those long-limb abominations that howl like banshees, and now this dungeon demo with candle-demons, ghost face dudes, and a hellhound.

The guy in the video gets hit like 8 times by powerful attacks, never heals and never shields, yet he doesn't die. Maybe the health system works different? In Dark Souls 2 it only takes 2 or 3 hits from a boss (sometimes 1) before you're dead.

Just like every previous souls game preview, they probably nerfed the enemies so they wouldn't one-hit you. That way they could actually show off their game.

There's a new mechanic. When you lose health, you have a short amount of time to either: Pull back and heal yourself with consumables, or attack with a successful combo to regain health.

Because Sony is developing it and I have the strong suspicion that they're using the Demon's Souls intellectual property in some way.

Ok, seeing it in long drawn out gameplay definitely increases my interest.
It really does seem like the artistic value of everything is Dark Souls 1 tier which was my biggest disappointment with 2.
The only thing I hope is that the level design actually makes sense and is new and interesting.
I absolutely LOVE the gothic, hunter-of-monsters tone they're taking with this, not to mention those graphics are fucking SICK, I love the fire effects!
