So far this year, we’ve seen the Marvel Universe programming block on Disney XD, and we’ve seen Disney throw its considerable marketing weight behind the blockbuster film The Avengers. But it’s only now that true integration of Disney and Marvel has been announced, in the form of a crossover animated special starring Marvel superheroes and the characters from Phineas and Ferb. Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel will premiere next summer on Disney Channel, and will see classic Marvel heroes Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, and Thor being transported to Phineas and Ferb‘s Danville and immobilized by, of course, one of Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s many “inators.” Consequently, Phineas and Ferb (along with their friends and Agent P, one must assume) have to find a way to help the heroes and to fight the classic Marvel villains Red Skull, Whiplash, Venom, and M.O.D.O.K., who are (of course) working with Dr. D to create mayhem and destruction. I must admit I wasn’t entirely looking forward to the first crossover between Disney’s more traditional properties and their relatively newly-acquired Marvel properties, but — since you know it had to happen eventually — I can’t think of anyone I’d trust to do it justice more than the folks at Phineas and Ferb. I’ve spoken with Dan Povenmire and Swampy Marsh, the show’s creators and executive producers, many times, and I’m confident they’ll find a way to create humor around their characters while managing not to disrespect the legacy of the Marvel universe. Maybe they’ll even find a way to work in a shawarma joke! And I think we can all breathe a sigh of relief that they’re not trying to go the other way somehow. Can you imagine Darkwing Duck showing up in Avengers 2?
Abomination.

Dear God.
meh I don't care, DC characters are better Heck Batman is the only reason there still is a comic book industry
meh I don't care, DC characters are better Heck Batman is the only reason there still is a comic book industry
I hate to tell you but marvel characters are getting more and more popular thanks to block buster movies and videogames like Marvel vs Capcom. Plus new 52's series isnt really getting much acclaim last time i heard.
meh I don't care, DC characters are better Heck Batman is the only reason there still is a comic book industry
worst post 2012
just when i thought phineas and ferb couldnt get any more annoying..
meh I don't care, DC characters are better Heck Batman is the only reason there still is a comic book industry
Eh, the only memorable DC character for me is Batman, Green Lantern's alright I guess. I always thought Iron Man, Spider Man, the X-Men, Hulk, etc. were better.
Phineas and Ferb is actually pretty clever though.
Heck Batman is the only reason there still is a comic book industry
This sentence is the single dumbest thing I have ever read on the internet. The internet. The same place that gave us Stormfront, Ctrl+Alt+Del, and Lolcats.
WB, which owns DC Comics, has done this in the past with Scooby Doo meeting Batman - several times in fact. dunno about Phineas and Ferb. I only saw a single episode and it has a lot of nerdy jokes here and there.
oh thank god, now i know i should replace my regular cape with a removable one just incase i get attacked by a shark
Abomination.
You realize that Phineas and Ferb is completely satire, and more or less doesn't take itself seriously and makes fun of everything, and is overall a solid show, right? Oh wait, no, because its Disney you automatically think its shit, bandwagoning is ignorance. See where I'm going with this analogy?

He never clicked. I really don't give a flying fuck who's the most popular or famous, really. I said most memorable for me. I'd also reckon that Batman is a lot more popular than Superman nowadays with the Dark Knight, the video games, and countless shirts that I see. Even Marvel's ahead of it with its Spider Man movies and the Avengers, the best superhero movie in my opinion.

Sounds a little familiar. The people who don't watch the show aren't going to flip on a dime and watch it because you recommend it.
I think orange juice is good. I think milk is pretty good, too. See where I'm going with this analogy?
Not really, not at all.
Because you guys are crying about it, and I want you guys to stop crying and realize its not that bad.
Sorry Bub, I'm pretty sure people aren't going to suddenly be into a Disney show. Like I said, this sounds a little familiar.

Spiderman's relatable because he's funny and a satirical person, who just makes us laugh. Iron Man is humorous as well, shows lots of sarcasm (same line of Spiderman, just a bit smarter). Hulk has anger issues and has troubles dealing with his condition. Superman on the other hand... he's a white knight who never shows any troubles dealing with pressure or physical ability except when kryptonite is involved.
Oh dear god, I didn't know that Disney bought Marvel. Now I'm depressed. Those art styles don't meld well either.
Yep. means that this is now Disney material
Also Disney has done nothing wrong with Marvel, under their jurisdiction, The Avengers was made, so that really shows that they haven't fucked up anything.
classic Marvel villains Red Skull, Whiplash, Venom, and M.O.D.O.K., who are (of course) working with Dr. D to create mayhem and destruction.
wait what, Red Skull and Venom? a furious nazi and a character who likes to eat people's brains?? disney material!!!
Eh, I suppose they could've chosen a worse show to crossover with. From what I've seen, Phineas and Ferb isn't exactly terrible. Hopefully the writers don't take it seriously and make it tongue in cheek, like the Archie and Punisher crossover.
wait what, Red Skull and Venom? a furious nazi and a character who likes to eat people's brains?? disney material!!!
Clayton got hanged and shot the main characters father Scar was eaten alive A woman rapidly aged and died on screen. Bambi's goddamn mom's death A man got dragged to hell A computer program caused near-genocide The Black Couldron had to be edited down to keep from getting a PG-13 There was cold-blooded murder of two people by a toon (One offscreen, one onscreen) So, yeah, you have no right to complain about violence in disney. I'm sorry, it's just always happened.

Did they really name their channel 'Disney XD' >:|
Did they really name their channel 'Disney XD' >:|
That was years before that even existed. [editline]15th July 2012[/editline] As in, they named it "XD" before "XD" meant that stupid ass laughing smiley.
