• Unable to open Nvidia share

Seemingly with no reason, after no particular software or hardware change, I am unable to use Nvidia Share (updated Shadowplay) Every time I try to open it in Geforce Experience, I just get a little window pop up in the bottom left that reads "Unable to open Share." If I try and open it from the settings menu, the message reads "Unable to Open share, try restarting." Now, I've done a full Display Driver Uninstall. Tried removing software installed around the time of the failure but to no result. Sure there are other screen capture packages out there, but Nvidia Share was by far the most convinient, so I'm not looking for a replacement. I've read the first page of Google for these errors and no fix has worked - most of them just suggest updating drivers, but these threads are all around 11 months old. Has anyone else had this issue? Does anyone have a fix? [quote] [I]running latest driver version 375.95[/I] [t]https://puu.sh/smyKo/b5f2fe1afd.png[/t] [/quote]
You said you tried reinstalling the drivers, but what about Geforce Experience itself? That's what's mostly responsible for Share, so I'd start there. [editline]18th November 2016[/editline] And if you've tried it already, try opting in/out of the beta depending on which you're currently using

I've reinstalled it a few times by itself to try and fix it. I'll try the beta. [editline]18th November 2016[/editline] It seems the beta version isn't really a thing anymore. The old beta page just redirects to the latest version of Geforce Experience. The only setting in the app itself that relates to any sort of beta is the "Enable Experimental Features" checkbox, which doesn't seem to do anything.
Hm, back in GFE 2.x I had trouble opening Share when running certain applications, or running the applications if Share was already on, though 3.x fixed that problem. One of the apps was MSI Afterburner and another a Batman Arkham Knight config tool (what does it have to do with GFE I don't fuckin know), so maybe try killing just about every process you can that's not important to Windows and then try enabling Share? [editline]18th November 2016[/editline] Also you have four different monitors, try it with just one of them plugged in
I stopped just about everything that wasn't a system process or something that refused to close and still no luck. [editline]18th November 2016[/editline] Disconnecting other monitors didn't help.
Well uh, I started getting those exact same messages when I moved Nvidia Share.exe out of C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\NVIDIA GeForce Experience, maybe something is preventing that file from running? Try giving it full permissions and whitelisting it in your antivirus (and maybe the main GFE .exe as well) [editline]18th November 2016[/editline] I'm just throwing ideas out there and seeing what sticks at this point
No luck with that either :/
Had the same problem. Is your OS installed on your SSD by chance? If your Experience is on another drive, share won't work. At least that was the case for me.
Nope. Running on a 2tb hybrid and Geforce experience is in it's default location.
-snip- nvm then
I had the same on issue on my laptop (the issue started more than a year ago). I used DDU to uninstall all the Nvidia drivers as well as GFE, then went through RegEdit to clean out any and all registry entries relating to Nvidia or ShadowPlay/Share. When I was sure it was clean, I then reinstalled the latest drivers and it worked. If it still doesn't work, I can specify what registry edits I had to make specifically to get it working again.
