i think the maps themselves were set to have a specific hero class -- i.E. luke and vader on Endor, fett and solo on Bespin(?)
i'll assume they're going more lenient in BF2EA but I'm not too bothered by it

IIRC the mixed Era heroes are only for this EA Play demo, it won't be like that in the final game except for in the Heroes only game modes.

Also when, if ever, did wave 2 clones defend Naboo? Maybe the actual game will have it as the naboo guard and that's just for the test too?

Looks like power ups and star cards are gone.
And as I said in the other thread in the news node, it looks you earn points in game that you can use to play as special units, heroes, and vehicles which I think is better than having to fight over power ups.

I'm going to guess there will be a mix of class specific and universal cards.
Classes would need unique powers or else what would the point of classes be :v:
Also looks like the Separatists' classes are all B1s(which is understandable due to weapon unlocks) unless their Officer is going to be a Command Droid. But I'm guessing this is still a relatively early build.

Actually there is B2s everywhere
Seeing the different eras mixed up tells me one thing: They're ditching the strict rules of Star Wars and going for fun
Hopefully they took what made the last BF game boring and fixed all of it. Maybe stuff to work towards unlocking in a less linear fashion would be nice, too
