Well they didn't explicitly say it was an Islamic terror attack, merely following a string of it. Still, it's kind of implied and I don't know the situation, maybe it looks like all other attacks. In any case, attacks with gunfire usually aren't that common, and within a small timespan it's likely to be the same group.
But yeah in theory we should figure that out first.

According to the article, it was actually an air rifle, which doesn't mean that it's harmless, but I'm presuming that in France the rules aren't as strict for air rifles. Whilst it could be the same group, it might also be anti-Semites (a group which is unfortunately growing in Europe). I don't know which it might be, and it's fully possible that it was just random arsehole, but I don't think we should assume who it is until we have a suspect.
I can't wait for the FN to jump on this.

This is why people say fuck rehabilitating people coming back from Syria. They do not give up on their ways, they come back with information to train the next generation of lunatics. Even if this person wasn't directly involved with ISIS, by allowing radicals back into their old communities, all you are going to accomplish is adding a teacher in an already angered community.

Some crazy asshole ran a car over some people, another even crazier asshole saw it on TV and decided to do the same thing, and now another cunt has decided to ride the hype train to murder city.
This is only picking up momentum because the media is creating this momentum by constantly shoving it down everyone's throat, crying wolf about "high profile islamic terror attacks" when even the first dude who ran over some people admitted that he only shouted allah ackbar to give himself some courage and not because he was part of any group.
The last big terror attack we've had on our soil was this crazy guy who killed a muslim dude who he considered not radical enough then stole his bike to shoot up several jewish schools (while filming the whole thing). He then holed up at his apartment and the special forces just shot him to bits.
This is just like what's going on in the US with all the media turning some occurrences of policemen shooting black people into a full-on mass psychosis. People keep flipping their shit believing the cops are gonna come after them and shoot the shit out of them for no reason because every single channel on TV never talks about anything else, to the point where even the French media picked up on the thing and called it a shooting spree for no reason.
