Fox News host Bill O'Reilly will pick up the legal tab of the father of a fallen U.S. Marine after a judge ruled that he must pay the court costs incurred by the members of the controversial Westboro Baptist Church, whom he sued for protesting his son's funeral.
This particular church is infamous for protesting the funerals of U.S. servicemen with signs saying that God killed the soldiers because of homosexuality in America, among other things.
O'Reilly called the legal fees an "outrage":
"I will pay Mr. Snyder's obligation. I am not going to let this injustice stand."
At least someone is still on his right mind :shobon:
hope +1
Well that's nice of him.
O'Reilly is an evil motherfucker, but he's smart. good use for pr
A Fox News person does something right this time.
I will cry if this turns out to be an April Fools joke.
As nice as this is of him, it still doesn't justify the situation. They shouldn't be getting paid for any reason.

Still good for that one guy.
Good.
Fancy.
That's really nice of him.

Yes, what is it with courts and ridiculous reasons for the fines?

Not everyone out there is kind, or the same.
Regardless of O'Reillys obvious PR intentions for this, it's still heart worthy.

Maybe they hope to fix the economy by fining everyone?

Yep, good deeds for possible selfish reasons are good deeds nonetheless.
O'Reilly said this on his show a few days ago. I get a good 20mins of his and Becks show almost every time I eat supper because my mom watches them religiously.
Hell, the case was ridiculous. I would have paid it have I had the money(as much money as Bill has floating around) , I don't think O'Rielly saw this as: "Oh what a perfect time to get some publicity, YES!" but rather, a ridiculous case on a burdened father, which we can all agree on.
For once, I agree with Bill.
The law is very rigid, and prevents human error this way, but causes comparable systematic error (from a human perspective) like this.

O'Reilly isn't as bad as Beck at least.
That's nice of him.
It's still terrible that the WBC won the case though.
O'Reilly just gives his opinions. He's not like Glenn Beck. He doesn't just tried to start shit for no reason. Think of him as the Keith Oberman of Fox.
He's generally a nice guy. Conservative sure, but he actually means well unlike Beck or Limbaugh.

Well...generally nice.

Something about him and his chalkboard with Swastikas and a Hammer and Sickle, connected with random lines leading to random democratic poeple with magnetic pictures of said democratic people make his show rather entertaining to watch.
I came home from school one day and he had Jack Bauer on there, along with the other characters of 24, and was somehow relating them to the current political situation.
I actually saw him say that, my mom was watching :foxnews:

No she is a republican though
No she is a republican though
Mine does. She likes to say shes "Conservative" and not "Republican".
She pretty much absorbs what Beck says, you could imagine the fun when she gets political.
