It just near cut it in half like a knife.
Wonder how other vehicles would stand up against this test. Especially since we have the exact same model.
The driver would be turned into runny jam.
Some older, longer cars would definitely get cut in half.
kinda laughed at the intense dramatic music :v:
I drive that car, I don't like this video. Though I can´t really thing of a whole lot of situations where a pole wouldn't snap or bend on impact
I drive that car, I don't like this video. Though I can´t really thing of a whole lot of situations where a pole wouldn't snap or bend on impact
It's supposed to simulate a tree
This makes me moist. Mainly because it's a shitting Peugeot.
It's supposed to simulate a tree
Shit. That's no country drives for me then.
Shit. That's no country drives for me then.
Also modern anti-terrorism building design disguises bollards that will resists explosive laden trucks as other everyday items such as lamp-posts or plant pots which would react similarly
This is why I always recommend my family to use the seatbelts
Those damn peugeot drivers, getting ran into poles...
... So this is why they say cars which crash into trees get 'wrapped around'.
I could do 100 km/h. That's 14 year old kid level over here. Any faster though and it gets a bit hard to cling onto the car while picking the lock [editline]24th October 2016[/editline] Oh wait you mean a crash test. Right. [editline]24th October 2016[/editline] On a serious note, keep in mind that this is basically the equivalent of a critical hit/headshot of a car crash. There's no crumple zone at all. This is just about the most dangerous kind of crash.
It is no wonder they crashed, Top Gear was perfectly on point with Peugeot drivers as usual
Hey, at least the airbags went off
Two cars equal twice the security
Don't know how it's in rest of Europe but in north Europe it's basically common sense not to buy a Peugeot or any French for for that sake simply cause they rust so fucking badly.
:( I have a peugeot
You could probably just buff that out
The pole is 3/4 the way through the car before the driver side airbag had deployed.
The driver would be turned into runny jam.
This is a European car, the driver is on the right (as it should be).
... So this is why they say cars which crash into trees get 'wrapped around'.
There isn't much for emergency services to extricate if the car hits side-on. Front-on there might be a chance, provided the car has airbags, there are ample crumple zones, and the drivers are restrained.
Clearly Peugeot need to take a page from Chinas book of fantastically safe cars.
kinda laughed at the intense dramatic music :v:
It's Auto Bild, the car spin-off of what's possibly our worst yellow press here. Not that that makes the video worse in this case, but it also explains the completely over-dramatised title :v: [editline]25th October 2016[/editline]
[...] This is a European car, the driver is on the right (as it should be). [...]
That only applies to Britain :eng101: Over here we drive on the right side of the road like almost everyone else.
Europe drives on the right side of the road. Britain drives on the wrong side of the road.
Don't know how it's in rest of Europe but in north Europe it's basically common sense not to buy a Peugeot or any French for for that sake simply cause they rust so fucking badly.
If you weren't so salty, maybe cars would stop rusting so bad :vs:
This is a European car, the driver is on the right (as it should be).
That's irrelevant when it looks like the entire car gets turned into a crunch wrap supreme by the end of the video.
Now do it with a Volvo V70. :v:
Shit. That's no country drives for me then.
This is an absolute worst possible case where everything is stacked against the car. It's meant to be unwinnable. Realistically, by the time you're this sideways, you're not doing anywhere near the speed you were. And while a tree of the same thickness isn't going to break, it certainly wont stay still. You also have to come off the road in the first place for this to happen. You really wont be killing yourself in any modern car unless you are either: trying / stupid / a victim of someone else being stupid.
Don't know how it's in rest of Europe but in north Europe it's basically common sense not to buy a Peugeot or any French for for that sake simply cause they rust so fucking badly.
my buddy has a 20 year old peugeot that seems to be rust free aswell. Or at least he has never spotted any rust.
