Razer, the world leader in high-performance gaming hardware, today announced the beta release of Razer Game Booster, software that optimizes a user's system settings, improving game performance and providing the ability to share favorite moments with friends. This software enhances in-game experiences that players of all skill levels—from professional to casual—will appreciate. With the click of a button, gameplay becomes faster, smoother and easier to launch. The program is the latest evolution of the CNET Editor five-star-rated IObit Game Booster software, an immensely popular precursor that has been downloaded over 100 million times. Applications shut down prior to gaming are restored when user exits the game. Calibrate Mode Simplify the process of setting up your PC's performance by conveniently providing you with the option to tweak, defrag, or update any outdated drivers. Share Mode A bonus feature where you can show off your skills, create tutorials, and more, with the ability to record real-time audio/video and capture screenshots. Razer did extensive research and testing in partnership with IObit during the development of Razer Game Booster, improving and updating features to bring about the most intuitive and powerful application possible. The software conveniently stores all games under one hub, and provides a unique boosting feature that enhances the functions of a PC for maximum game performance. "Razer Game Booster takes what Razer is all about and supercharges it," said Robert "RazerGuy" Krakoff, president of Razer USA. "We are huge fans of IObit's Game Booster software and we are dedicated to providing gamers with the absolute best experience possible. To that end, we are committed to everything that adds performance and fun to gaming, which includes software and the systems they run on." Razer Game Booster is in internal closed beta, but fans have the opportunity to be part of an exclusive team of testers. pc gaming is saived once agen praise Razus
Now my computer can be almost as good as consoles, thanks Razer!
It looks just as bad as their keyboard drivers.
Kills explorer.exe, updates your video drivers, that's all it does. I can do that too.
Kills explorer.exe, updates your video drivers, that's all it does. On the plus side, it can be set to automatically 'boast' when loading games, which I kinda like.
These "game boosting" programs never worked for me, most likely because they're bullshit
Is it even worth killing explorer on a high end computer?
These "game boosting" programs never worked for me, most likely because they're bullshit
My laptop will hardly run shit without a game booster, so the one I have is most definitely not bullshit.
So it's like that one program, what was it called... Oh yeah, Game Booster. [editline]20th September 2012[/editline] Oh wait they actually bought that company.
"Disable 8.3 names for NTFS and speed up.." Awesome, now my 5400RPM hard drive is as fast as an SSD. "Speed up menu display" You know it's set to 400ms for a reason, you get that annoying submenu popup too quickly and it gets annoying. Not to mention how impatient do you have to be where you can't wait 400ms? And what does that have to do with games. Silly programs.
lol game boosters
Is it even worth killing explorer on a high end computer?

high end computer

needs game booster
tbh I'd recommend using game booster if you have a laptop. I can't play any games on my laptop without one otherwise, it actually works. My actual PC gaming rig is a beast so I would never bother using game booster on it.
Is it even worth killing explorer on a high end computer?
Killing explorer even on a low end computer would make hardly any difference. When you're not using it, it just idles and only takes 20-50MB of RAM anyway.
I got a game booster from IO bit and it actually works. It just shuts off uneccesary processes and stuff and turns them back on when you exit the game. But if your computer is already optimized and stuff it won't make much of a difference, same with high ends probably.
Considering that most laptops and desktops, hell even my netbook, has 4GB RAM, the RAM thing is usually not the issue anymore. Most games take up, at most, 1GB of RAM, and if Windows is really dumb, it might take up equally as much, still leaving about 1.5 for anything else. And you need to boost for what reason again?
Razer is such a travesty.
Razer, the world leader in high-performance gaming hardware
Hahahahahahahaha No.

I like some things they sell but they can be so full of them selves sometimes. But, like I said, they have good products.
I was expecting a USB drive that you had to buy. Thanks god it's free software.
"Razer, the world leader in high-performance gaming hardware" I'm very happy with logitech and think razor is over rated beyond fuck because it is seriously though people act like razor is 100% amazing and the best thing ever. Also, the "Screencast" looks like they just copied fraps.
I don't get why they always advertise things like this that aren't even released yet, only to sign up for a closed beta that takes forever to get in if you even get that chance. And then when they're actually released there's very little word on it.
"Razer, the world leader in high-performance gaming hardware" I'm very happy with logitech and think razor is over rated beyond fuck because it is
I'm betting money everyone bashing razer products has never used one in their entire life. I have a razer keyboard/mouse/headset and I am damn happy with my purchases. I used to use a shitty keyboard / plantronic headset / logitech G5 combo for a long time. Despite I treated my gaming gear with absolute care they'd break into pieces within a span of 6 months from heavy usage. The laser in my G5 would always shit out in about 6 months, sometimes buttons would break. My plantronics headsets must've been made from the cheapest plastic in the world, I WOULD NOT EVEN BEND THE HEADSET TO FIT OVER MY HEAD, I'D SLIDE IT AROUND MY NECK AND THE PLASTIC WOULD BREAK AND SNAP OVER TIME. The plantronics headset also would have the bass shit out after heavy useage of listening to music and gaming. The keyboards I had would have keys come off or have the letters wear down / buttons break. The razer products I've had has worked just as good as they had straight out of the box, Day 1. I just cleaned my keyboard the other day and it feels brand new. Say what you want about Razer products (their tablets and shit are super gimmicky, I can agree on that) but they are DURABLE and they LAST. To me, that's the most important thing in the world. My keyboard/mouse/headset have been working flawlessly for almost two years now.
Wait, so if I got a game booster, would I be able to play Skyrim on my laptop? Or is that too farfetched to happen?
Wait, so if I got a game booster, would I be able to play Skyrim on my laptop? Or is that too farfetched to happen?
Depends what your laptop is. If it's a Epson HX-20 PROBABLY NOT.

Their software is boss, not really ever going outside of logitech but there are alternatives to logitech and razor, so seeing the article say it's "the best" is pretty annoying. and to be fair, the way they advertise and the look does make it look a bit gimmicky, and insanely overrated.
Depends what your laptop is. If it's a Epson HX-20 PROBABLY NOT.
Some Toshiba whatever thing, it can play most games fairly well. (Not Skyrim :v:)
The video is even more cheesier: :suicide:
