Yeah it doesn't mean anything else in the English language but you're ignoring the fact that everyone knows that the word "hymen" comes from the Ancient Greek "ὑμήν", which translates to "membrane" and therefore people incorrectly associate this translation with the hymen!

But the article also fails to state any information for the translation of 'hymen' specifying any particular type - so the original word is still accurate! if anything, it should be plural. :v:
