He totally rocked that money match too, and the black dude is a bigger loudmouth in general which is why that match happened in the first place.
Leffen completely destroyed that dude and the look on his face during the entire thing was A++ gold
I still love that "Who bitch this is?" video.
that fucking smash bros pause on snake

That tall black dude is lowtiergod, a Street Fighter player who constantly ragequits and pulls the race card while also talking shit. He can't back it up, leading to him getting perpetually destroyed.

Saw this in the video. It always confuses me what the fuck she thinks she was doing.
That white guy playing Tekken looks like Karl Pilkington

apparently she was trying to get the guy DQ'd. she got a few guys along with her (the ones yelling "JUST DQ HIM"), and was trying to make it look like she was calming him down and making him sit back down, but hilariously fucked it up and just made it look like she was grabbing him for no reason

The Leffen Chillin match was fucking amazing, and the "my b" response has since in infamy in the Smash community.
Oh man I knew that Bizzarro Flame vs Eikellman clip would be on there. That set was fucking platinum

I'll never understand getting super mad at video games or what it accomplishes
I'll never understand getting super mad at video games or what it accomplishes
It's hard to remember it's just a game when there's thousands of dollars on the line
I'll never understand getting super mad at video games or what it accomplishes
There's quite a bit of money riding on professional matches. Some people even live off it.
It's a little more understandable with that in mind.
It's hard to remember it's just a game when there's thousands of dollars on the line
This is what sets the top player professionals from the rest though, at least in Street Fighter.
They know how to keep their composure, dignity, and sportsmanship in check during, and after a match is over. Even if there is a lot of money riding on it.
As soon as you let your emotions completely take over your ability to concentrate, that's when you lose, and that's what causes salt.
Sure there are some players that use their emotion as a way to enhance their game, but they don't let it completely take over their playstyle. Street Fighter is still a very scientific and calculated game at high level.
Also these videos are fucking hilarious but I hope people who are aren't into fighting games or the FGC use it as a way to shittalk the FGC or get the wrong impression from it, these are just funny scenarios caught on film. My experience with the FGC, (the real one not the internet one) has been chill.

Honestly I'd just be glad to be there at that level of play
Even if I ended up losing on trying to get money it just means you'd need more practice instead of spewing your hate everywhere. Nobody wants to hear it, and people will make fun of you for doing so, so why should you? It really just boils down to manners and self control.
You don't decide if you want to be angry or not though. Also it's easy for you to say that you'd be happy to just be at that level, when you aren't.

From r/kappa:
Making a new account cause I don't want to get any heat for this. I know who bitch that is and I know what she was doing. Not gonna name names cause I don't want to reign r/Kappa hellfire upon them. She's a local anime player and not very bright (I'm pretty sure she has aspergers or something like that), she's a very much "Social Justice Warrior" like aswell. Anyway she was not happy with ShinBlade and the Memphis team at all and was pretty vocal to a few people about her not liking ShinBlade thinking he's a rude person and too loud for the tournament. So when ShinBlade starts popping off she decides to go up and grab him, trying to look like she's calming him down but mainly to bait a reaction out of him. Not only did she try to get him DQ'd but he wanted him to end up as another Aris CrossAssault situation and make it look like he attacked her and get some serious heat heading his way from shit like Kotaku and Polygon. I guess she's going off the logic that cause she's a girl people will believe her over the guy. She wasn't alone on this either, she told her friends, who are thirsty as fuck white knight nerds, this whole thing and they jumped in. Hence you can hear dudes in this video yelling to DQ him before anyone knew what was going on even though he did nothing wrong and she was the instigator. This seriously isn't the first time she's played the victim like this to get someone else in a fucked up situation either, on facebook right now she's making the whole situation revolve around her. Anyway TOs show up and try to figure out what the fuck happened ready to get the DQ hammer out, I didn't hear the conversation but I assume dudes with tapes and witnesses confirm that ShinBlade did nothing and the girl started it, tournament continues but I assume ShinBlade was told to keep the pop offs quiet. I just wanted to shed some light on the situation before Kotaku shows up and tries to make it look like ShinBlade assaulted a woman and how the FGC is mysoginst.
So you're saying its okay to act immature if you're a high level player?
So you're saying its okay to act immature if you're a high level player?
Only if it's friendly banter m8
So you're saying its okay to act immature if you're a high level player?
I've seen the most composed people get mad over fighting games, it isn't hard to do. It's partially due to the Dunning-Kruger effect. It's really easy to say 'oh wow these fukken nerds gettin mad over games' when you've never had the social experience of a fighting game tournament, or any tournament for that matter. Emotions run high when competition is involved and you really don't get that from playing games online. Fighting games are 1v1, you can't blame anyone but yourself and people get mad when they don't win.

you say that now but when you actually play at that level it's another story because you know you can do better. i don't play at a high level but i get pissed when i fuck something silly up / play shitty when i know i can do better. it's very easy to get emotional over the games w/o money even being involved, but just when tensions run high and you need to play at your very best (that's the whole reason "hype" even exists)
[editline]25th July 2015[/editline]
i mean if you take out your frustration by insulting, or actually attacking your opponent that's fucked up, but i ain't gonna give someone shit for smashing their controller or just forfeiting

This is why I don't understand competetive gaming.
Games are supposed to be fun. Why get involved in something that will piss you off? I avoid games that get me mad for this very reason.
