It was recently revealed that Sam Raimi and one of his brothers are planning to write the script for Army of Darkness 2 this summer, and that Bruce Campbell had agreed to star in it even if the film was just “me and a walker fighting some other old guy.” In addition to this, Fede Alvarez has already announced that he is working on the sequel to his remake of the original film, Evil Dead, which is out in theaters on April 5th and has received generally positive reviews from critics. But why stop at just two more movies?
The Evil Dead‘s cast and crew appeared on a panel at Wondercon last weekend to promote the film and, according to Coming Soon, Alvarez “has big plans for the franchise“:
“He’d like to make a sequel to this one while Sam Raimi moves forward with Army of Darkness 2. Then, both worlds would combine for a final, seventh film.”
Y'know, I'm okay with this. If an Army of Darkness sequel has the production value of this new remake and keeps the goofy spirit of the original, I'll definitely watch it.

Our hero
but seriously Bruce Campbell is awesome in the Evil Dead Trilogy and in a few other good movies. I've been hoping for a fourth ED since I watched AoD back in the day

doesnt look a pound over 200
Seeing Ash in Poker Night 2 makes me hope for a Telltale EVIL DEAD or Army of Darkness.
[editline]1st April 2013[/editline]
I like all this Evil Dead talk, thank you remake even if you're good or not.
If anyone hasn't seen Army of Darkness at least, watch it now.

nah evil dead 2 it is the best one
nah evil dead 2 it is the best one
With the Evil Dead's, it comes down to personal preference. Evil Dead is awesome as a pure horror film, Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn is a great combination of horror and comedy, and Army of Darkness is an awesome as a comedy.
Groovy.

Shit, I wanted to say that

Woah woah woah woah woah oh my god. I wish I understood the context but I don't want to be spoiled.
Gimmie some sugar, baby
Hail to the king, baby.
I love Army of Darkness so I'm now really excited.
So I feel really dumb for not knowing that Army of Darkness is not part of the Evil Dead trilogy.
All I know is Army of Darkness is one of my favorite films. The above video clip, the "this is my boomstick," is one of the most memorable quotes from any movie I ever watched growing up. First watched Army of Darkness when I was 12 or 13. :v:
Excitement level: 101%
Evil Dead is the greatest thing that has ever happened

Sometimes your opinions stupify me

there's a bit at the beginning that sums up the Evil Dead story so far dude.. how did you not know?
By being 12 at the time and having never watched Evil Dead or Evil Dead 2.

Man, it's been such a long time since this alt's been used. Feels weird using Facepunch while in class again...
I have understood Ash was a store worker until some kind of timey wimey magics sent him backwards in time, albeit he grabbed a shotgun with him. The one he kills the big bad with upon returning back to the present.
Considering the Evil Dead remake is getting great reviews and is predicted to make ~$70-75 million on it's budget of $15 million, I'd say we got a strong chance of these sequels happening.

Get back to your school work or you'll be a janitor for the rest of your life.
Also, I've been waiting for Ash to come back in another sequel for years, this is amongst the best news I've heard all year so far. Hopefully they don't overdo the special effects though, I think one of the best parts of Army of Darkness was how damn cheesy it was.

Read the comics, they explain events after AOD.

He's actually still in a great shape nowadays so he could easily pull Army of Darkness 2 off.

Most underrated and charismatic actor of our generation. His chin alone should be rewarded Golden Globe.

comics?
I don't know how I feel about all this. If Bruce makes a crossover appearance, then I guess I'm alright with it.
Bruce Campbell is fucking awesome
