In a bizarre incident on ESPN2 on Tuesday, former NFL linebacker Shawne Merriman walked away in the middle of an interview on the show Highly Questionable.
Merriman remained cordial throughout the interview, even while leaving, which made the whole thing all-the-more strange.
Looks like he just heard something that really couldn't wait, doesn't seem like he just up and left for no real reason to me.
So confused they don't even know what to say
I enjoy how the interviewers just kept looking at each other like "what"
His childhood was clearly difficult.
Talk about a show that lives up to its name.
Seems like they were pressing on something that he wasn't comfortable about continually talking about. Can't say I blame him. At least he was really polite. The other guys looked like douches to me.
It looks like he heard something over the ear piece which made him get up.
maybe he needed to go for a shit real bad and couldn't hold it any more
"lol u guys are douchers bye"
I wanna caption that on a gif of this now.
It's looks like he could have mis-interpreted the producer calling for them to wrap it up as being his time to leave but who knows
abandon thread

The interviewers are supposed to be in different locations across the country but they're actually just in the same studio so they really broke character lol
Might be wrong in this situation but my dad works in TV production they do this all the time
At least he said thanks and bye, I thought he was just gonna get up and go
"See you later shitlords."
That GIF has so much potential in the future.
And thus, the greatest reaction gif ever was born

Unlikely. They'd try to change the background if that was the case.
probably just though he was done with the the shot, didn't realise it was over from the looks of it because he came back to grab his mic
Most likely they accidentally reminded him he played in Buffalo.
The interviewers didn't look like Merriman.

He turned white during his brief time off camera?

Why would he take it out, then? If he heard something important then he would want to keep it in just in case something else was said. The earpiece is for the interview, probably so there's no feedback during the recording.

Could be anything.
Could be like "your mom is in hospital", you're not going to wait for that.
the best part was the nerd working as camera crew that appears on camera when he leaves
They were asking about his ex-girlfriend who he was arrested for abusing and asking what it was like having his house burned down and living in a shelter, so if he didn't get some bad news I'm not that surprised he left.
Need a mirrored gold Avatar of the guy on the right

after all, it could have gone down like this:
