And hello to this motherfucker:

It will sometimes fall back to another method if it's not sure:
While the new reCAPTCHA API may sound simple, there is a high degree of sophistication behind that modest checkbox. CAPTCHAs have long relied on the inability of robots to solve distorted text. However, our research recently showed that today's Artificial Intelligence technology can solve even the most difficult variant of distorted text at 99.8% accuracy. Thus distorted text, on its own, is no longer a dependable test.
To counter this, last year we developed an Advanced Risk Analysis backend for reCAPTCHA that actively considers a user's entire engagement with the CAPTCHA - before, during, and after - to determine whether that user is a human. This enables us to rely less on typing distorted text and, in turn, offer a better experience for users. We talked about this in our Valentine's Day post earlier this year.
The new API is the next step in this steady evolution. Now, humans can just check the box and in most cases, they're through the challenge.
This is going to make human captcha solving services so much cheaper.
I wonder how long it will take all those shady ass Rapidshare knockoffs to transfer over. :v:
i fucking hate those overly complicated captchas
might as well give me a magnifier to examine every pixel
But then how will Moot get his NEET dollars from the 4Chan Pass?
Oh boy it links to my gmail!
Welp guess I know what sites not to use if the adopt that

I don't think humans can solve these things with 99.8% accuracy... Something feels off about this statistic.

Where does it link to your google account? The only place that asks me to login is the ReCaptcha webUI which is for administrators, and that's to stop abuse
Maybe I'm weird but I never had an issue reading captchas?
Anywhere where I can try this?
humble bundle uses this method now
So how does it work? Is it literally just basing it off that one click, like how long you're holding it, and where your mouse moves in that amount of time?

it observes your mouse movement and cross-references your IP with a database of known bots
I've already seen this in use on quite a few sites; it's very convenient!
So this means no one ever has to type an elephant anymore?
rest in peace recaptcha's secondary goal of transferring printed text into electronic

Yeah because it was talking about AI, not humans.

I hate it when I'm trying to post on 4chan.
You need to solve one for every post you make and it has a lot of problems.
It keeps giving you ones that are impossible to read and there's a bug that keeps refreshing it sometimes every time you input a character so it may refresh 5 times before it stops giving you new ones.
Although moot is probably making a pretty penny off of 4chan passes that remove captchas so he's probably not gonna implement this.
I guess they figured out that no matter what they do, bots will always figure it out
Good on them to think about the average person

to be fair it's painfully obvious to know which word is for verification and which word is being transferred so I usually just put in some nonsense for the word that doesn't matter.
also this just in: bots now making mouse movements slower like a normal person
It is obvious? I have always tried to guess which word is for the transfer, and I never get it right.
I kind of want to see if I can trick it into thinking that I am a bot.
iirc it uses cookies like facepunch uses cookies to keep u locked in. the cookies help collect data if "determine" if you're a bot or not.
if you use any other browser with no google cookies, you should be seeing the captcha again
Also, they dont record mouse movements. no need to try and click really really fast

google must have a lot of cat pictures stored in there to make sure the bots dont just memorize them all.
I was wondering why this wasn't a thing yet.
What about all the hilarious captcha word combos?
I'm guessing Jewt isn't ever going to use this, otherwise there would be no reason to buy a 4chan pass
It is obvious? I have always tried to guess which word is for the transfer, and I never get it right.
I've always found it to be. The transfer word usually isn't slanted back and forth and usually looks like if you took a picture of a word and just made it really low quality.
I'm willing to bet a million that the transfer word in the OP's picture is arch.
How it works: it goes through your search history and site history. Have you ever looked for porn? If so, you're human.

Weird, every time I post on 4chan all I get are 3-number captchas. Never had an issue with those.

Same here. Saw it for the first time about a month back.
