Recently, Research in Motion released it's Blackberry Messenger version 5. In this version, groups could be made for various stuff.

So I made a Facepunch group. If you want to join, just put your Blackberry barcode in a reply, or put your PIN instead.

This could be used for .. whatever, I don't know. Huge stress test? (Considering, we've got thousands on Facepunch).

It's considered to be "trendy" having a BlackBerry here in Thailand.

I don't know what the fuck a teenage girl would use most of the features on the BlackBerry except for messaging. EDGE/GPRS rates here are absurdly expensive and 3G is still in test phase, I see no practical use for email/IM push. You could get a Nokia/iPhone/Samsung for the same price but with features more oriented towards the multimedia side.

People don't message like crazy here at all. I see no fucking point to have one unless you're a businessman with enough money to have an unlimited EDGE/GPRS/3G plan.

Im loving my 8900 Curve cause i text crapload and like spelling "propertly" (compared to usual text language) and i do my homework on it in the bus which is always a nice thing if youre on it for 30+ min.

i see no need for an iphone or a blackberry when phones liek this that cost half the price are available and have all the same features i just got mine, it looks cool its thin has a decent camera and does nearly everything a black berry and iphone can do.

oh and why are the screens on blackberrys so small?
