That ad was produced by an anti-Trump super PAC, Make America Awesome, which has no known connection to the Cruz campaign. http://www.cnn.com/2016/03/22/politics/ted-cruz-melania-trump-twitter-donald-trump-heidi/

An angry and emotional Ted Cruz on Thursday ripped into Donald Trump for his attacks on Cruz's wife, Heidi, and repeatedly declined to say whether he would support Trump if he's the Republican presidential nominee. "Donald, you're a sniveling coward and leave Heidi the hell alone," Cruz told reporters after a factory tour in Dane, Wisconsin, pointing his finger at the cameras for emphasis. Asked then multiple times if he could still support Trump in November as the Republican nominee given his most recent comments, a fired-up Cruz paused for a few beats before not directly answering whether he would. "I'm going to beat Donald for the nomination," Cruz responded, before saying three times: "Donald Trump will not be the nominee." "Donald does seem to have an issue with women. Donald doesn't like strong women," he said, at one point deeming the billionaire a "loud, New York bully." "Real men don't try to bully women. That's not an action of strength. That's an action of weakness. It's an action of fear. It's an action of a small and petty man who is intimidated by strong women." Holy shit its like a bunch of twelve year olds.
Being smoking hot disqualifies you as First Lady? Since when did the far right become tumblr.
Being smoking hot disqualifies you as First Lady? Since when did the far right become tumblr.
The ad itself was targeted at mormons.
Being smoking hot disqualifies you as First Lady? Since when did the far right become tumblr.
Far-right has always been Tumblresque. They cry and scream as much as the pc/sjw crowd.
You have to applaud Trumps ability to run American politics into the fucking gutter
candidates resorting to bullying each other's wives what a great election year
You have to applaud Trumps ability to run American politics into the fucking gutter
The gutter? It's gone down the gutter, through the storm drain, and into the Realm of the Rat King.
The gutter? It's gone down the gutter, through the storm drain, and into the Realm of the Rat King.
Now it's on it's way to the center of the earth with the mole men. Seriously, fuck this whole election.
Holy fuck did Ted Cruz marry his sister? I'm just imagining him parading his goblin children around for votes
I had heard National Enquirer had ran a piece claiming Cruz had an affair with 5 women. Supposedly it was written by the same guy that busted the John Edwards affair wide open. Probably fake but it'd be hilarious if true.
candidates resorting to bullying each other's wives what a great election year
Just looks like one candidate bullying another's wife, since Cruz had nothing to do with that first ad.

The National Enquirer: - Endorses Trump - Has only run positive articles on Trump (0 negative articles found) - Has only run negative articles on Cruz and his Wife (0 positive articles found) ranging from affairs to suicidal tendencies. Take it with 2 atoms of salt.

This is the worst election I've ever known about. How is any of this making me want to vote?
Just looks like one candidate bullying another's wife, since Cruz had nothing to do with that first ad.
probably, but his superPACs have done some low shit earlier in the elections that he also didn't apparently know about, even as they used his voice to robocall
This is the worst election I've ever known about. How is any of this making me want to vote?
Thats the thing, it has nothing to do with making you want to vote at this point, just making you not want to vote, since the front-runners are both pretty shit. Even if Cruz won the republican nominee he's pretty shit as well.
At first I wondered why such an attractive lady would willingly marry an ogre like Trump. But of course, the answer's always money. Still, a kind of low (and weird) blow there.
Gone are the days of presidential candidates who eloquently opine in fiery retort.
Gone are the days of presidential candidates who eloquently opine in fiery retort.
Language adapts with the times. I'm forgetting which election it was, but I'm pretty sure the min base of attack was that the opponent was an alcoholic. It was some time in the 1800s.

It's just a good way to stray from talking about policy issues. Something like this happens in most elections. Imagine what would happen if they had a real discussion about policy - Ted Cruz would reveal himself to be even more criminally insane than he already has.

The only reason he isn't being called out for being a crazy idiot by any news or anyone is because Trump is denying him (and everyone up to this point) screen time by being a huge asshole and saying really controversial stuff.
For science of course, this is the original ad by the superpac:
Far-right has always been Tumblresque. They cry and scream as much as the pc/sjw crowd.
definitely, regressive morons exist in any ideology
These are one of those outrageous things that sounds so outrageous that it doesnt seem true, but very well could be.
These are one of those outrageous things that sounds so outrageous that it doesnt seem true, but very well could be.
I almost didn't post it because it just felt so damn unnatural to the point where it's on par with posting a TMZ article.

Donald Trump has turned the whole republican party and US politics along with it into a sad joke. Instead of focusing on the real issues he likes to play bullshit games just like this, it's childish and insulting to anybody who actually gives a shit about real problems. This election is getting ridiculous and it's time for him to get the fuck out of politics because he doesn't belong anywhere near them. It's time to come together and #DumpTrump so we can start to rebuild from all the intolerance and ignorance that he's been promoting and finally focus on the things that actually matter like making sure that all of our people are healthy and educated or effectively combating climate change because it's fracking real and it's ignorant as fuck to deny it. And this asshole actually wants to cut EPA and Common Core? Is he fucking serious?! This isn't some reality TV show, this is real life and his actions have serious consequences that could potentially lead to the end of life as we know it. The fact that he might actually become president is absolutely terrifying, I've had anxiety attacks and lost quite a bit of sleep over worrying about what kind of future is ahead of us and what kind of lives our future generations are going to have if he wins. I'd love to be able to settle down and have a family of my own but I refuse to bring new life into a world where they won't have every opportunity to succeed and thrive because we're destroying our planet over our greed for money and power. I'm really fucking scared guys. I believe this is the most important election that we've ever had and right now our choices are between 2 almost equally terrible candidates that can't be trusted and that's really fucking sad considering that we have probably the most honest guy that's ran for president since Lincoln, who's been fighting for all of our rights almost his entire life. We have a man who can't be bought by anybody and sincerely want's to give the power back to the people and make sure that they have every opportunity to succeed in life, and he might not even get a chance to because the majority of Americans are ignorant... This shit along with everything else that's been going on has got me cynical. We've got to start a movement and turn this shit around people. We need Bernie Sanders in office so we can finally end the corruption and do what's right for humanity and actually leave this world better then we found it, which with any luck will be free from intolerant and ignorant people like Trump. #DumpTrump

I don't like Trump either, but to call people ignorant for not supporting your candidate just seems rather silly, and I feel as though it only serves as a catalyst for political divisiveness.
