Hey guys, I need a little help here.. I'm looking for a somewhat popular discussion forum for Adobe products.. and more importantly, After Effects. I need help with something and all I can seem to find are the shitty Adobe forums, I don't want to post there. Anyone know of any forums that are somewhat popular where people discuss AE? Thanks!
I don't know any forums but there are lots of great After Effects tutorials around. Video Copilot might be a good place to start. They might even have forums.

Looks like they do! http://www.videocopilot.net/forum/
It's funny you mention videocopilot forums! I came across them today and made a post, it said an administrator would have to check it before it got posted.. Almost a whole day goes by and my thread is no where to be seen. Don't know why it would have been declined, I asked a legit question. I appreciate your help though, thanks Uberslug!
But.. What is your question?

Don't judge me..
Looking to recreate this in After Effects if possible.. I have a green screen. Basically what I want to do, is have myself in place of Biebs, but everything else the same. I don't want to be cropping out his body and placing mine in, I'm going to be doing a different pose.. So I'll need to do this from scratch. Like for example, the font and how it goes see through so you can see his clothing through it, and being able to create that shadow effect on AE too would be nice.. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Why on earth would you need AE and a green screen for this? Are you making a video?
If not, take a picture of yourself on a white background and photoshop the text on top.
Just thought I'd try and challenge myself and do it a different way haha. But I guess I'll go your Photoshop way. Do you know any tutorials on making the text like that?
Hey buddy I'll try to spell it out. Simple. What you want to do is make the rectangle around the text and fuck the-...I mean cut the shape of the text out of it. So what I would do is create a new layer over the sexy teenage boy you have yourself, draw your rectangle with the rectangular marquee tool and go to edit < fill, pick white and you're good to go. Next type out your text, use whatever matches or looks good to you. Once you have it typed out, press L to equip the lasso tool, and right click the text. "Load selection > [name of text] transparency". You should have marching ants in the shape of your text. Now in the layers window, click onto the layer of your rectangle and hit the "del" key. It should punch the shape of the text right out of the rectangle. Lastly hit control + T to activate transform controls and rotate it just a teensy bit to match the image.
Let me know if you get stuck on any steps or need more explaining.
Hmmm, seems basic enough. Appreciate the help, thanks Biscuit!
No problem. I'm going to take a nap for three hours while a scene renders, but post again or send me a PM if you have any troubles and I'll get back to you when I'm up hahaha. Good luck and all that.
Hahaha thanks!
