So, who do you think should return as holograms? May be a dumb idea, but whatever. A better title would be "Which musician do you want to come back alive" or something along those lines, but it's too late now.
tough one
More tupac
More tupac
Crap, didn't come to my mind. But we already had Tupac.
Either MJ or Freddie. They were just amazing performers.
Nobody
Nobody, it's a gimmick and it'll never be able to match them when they were alive.
Seth Putnam from Anal Cunt
I only pay holographic money to see a holographic star
Hendrix
Nobody, it's a gimmick and it'll never be able to match them when they were alive.
Are you against listening to live albums and watching live videos of dead musicians? The way I see it, this is pretty much the same thing. You're watching a recording of an old performance, just in a different way. Think of it like a public broadcast of a live video.
Hendrix is the only one I listen to, so not much of a decision.

That's how I see it, it would be cool for a novelty but I dunno it just feels like it's disrespectful to the artist who's passed away, and I don't mean like "OH THIS IS A HEINOUS CRIME!" but it feels like it cheapens their accomplishments to me to just replace them with a hologram. As I said, that's just my opiniion, I wouldn't try and stop it being done, but I wouldn't be a part of it.
I'd rather my heroes stay dead than see them cheapened by people making decisions in their absence [editline]20th May 2012[/editline]
Hendrix Are you against listening to live albums and watching live videos of dead musicians? Why does everyone seem to have only just found out about this kind of thing? Hatsune Miku's been performing as a hologram for a while now. Anyway. Noone. Theres no way a hologram can capture the raw energy or seeing an actual living and breathing performer live. It's silly to even consider it. Especially for someone like Hendrix. You could never have any live improvisation on his guitar, and it would take ridiculous amounts of time to match every hand movement to make it feel like he was actually playing
No-one. Just let them rest in peace and stop milking it.

People say Hendrix, but the only reason I'd see him live is for his playing, not his image.
People say Hendrix, but the only reason I'd see him live is for his playing, not his image.
I imagine that's why the over whelming majority of people would go and see him.
I would love to see a hologram of a young Paul McCartney while the real Paul plays along side him, but thats just a thought! Personally I would of added Jim Morrison and Hendrix to the poll list.

I think without having someone alive playing with them, like Dre & Snoop with Tupac, the performances wouldn't be that special.
Hendrix is the top result?
How did I not see that? I guess thats another reason as to why I'm going for eye tests! :v:
can't decide between freddie or john/george.
What the fuck kind of list is that,. I want Peter Murphy back damn it.

One place I can see these holograms being useful is in Roger Waters' current The Wall tour. In the song "Mother" he currently plays alongside a flat video projection of himself playing the same song back in 1980, but this would look much better with a hologram. I can just imagine him sitting there with his younger self, duelling it out on the acoustic guitar.
