It is thought that many of the infections were transmitted at Disneyland. Predictably, most of those who have become sick were not vaccinated. Infuriatingly, two of them were children who were too young to get the measles shots, rather than being the children of vaccine opponents.
http://www.iflscience.com/health-and-medicine/disneyland-measles-outbreak-hits-children-too-young-be-vaccinated
Well I guess America is about to get a lesson in why vaccination is important first hand.
Well I guess America is about to get a lesson in why vaccination is important first hand.
And nut-cases will still deny their importance.
And nut-cases will still deny their importance.
"B-but vaccines cause autism!"
But vaccines cause autism. My celebrity mother tells me so.
Why would you bring anyone that is unvaccinated to disneyland? That's asking for trouble.
FUCK YOU ANTI-VAXXERS It's people like YOU that cause this to happen!
How did the anti-vaccination thing even become a movement in the first place?
How did the anti-vaccination thing even become a movement in the first place?
I doubt anybody knows by today but my bet would be on subconscious irrational fear of injections paired with Big Pharma/Spooky Gubbermint/Illuminati thoughts in somebody.
Failing to vaccinate your children for no medical reason should be criminally negligent.
How did the anti-vaccination thing even become a movement in the first place?
Supposedly there was a paper published that said that a preservative used in vaccines caused autism, and people raised public outcry over it. It was later determined that the amount of the chemical used in vaccines wasn't enough to cause harm, and eventually the paper was pulled because nobody could verify its accuracy or something like that. The old notion that "vaccines cause autism" stuck in the public eye. Of course, I could be wrong but as far as I know that's how I remember it.
How did the anti-vaccination thing even become a movement in the first place?
The modern anti-vaccination movement was sparked largely by one scientist's bullshit research paper.
The modern anti-vaccination movement was sparked largely by one scientist's bullshit research paper.
And now is run principally by quacky alternative medicine types who want you to buy their books and alt-med products for low, low prices! Because clearly autism is worse than some of these debilitating, life threatening and scarring childhood diseases! (Since Autism is always their go to scare story about Vaccines, despite the fact it has been repeatedly shown that current scientific consensus does not link autism and vaccination) Fuckers who profit from this shit ought to be charged with fraud.
I just had a baby and I'm pretty sure I remember them saying not to do things like take your infant to Disneyland before they get the vaccinations. Maybe it was my dog and Parvo shots, but the principal is the same.
How did the anti-vaccination thing even become a movement in the first place?
I think it broke out due to some TV doctor saying it on some bullshit show.
"B-but vaccines cause autism!"
What really REALLY steams me about anti-vaxxers is that they treat autism like some horrible crippling disease, and that they'd rather their children potentially die from childhood illnesses than raise one with autism.

On topic however, it is indeed a silly place to take an unvaccinated child. It's just a good job none of them got anything worse, like polio or something.
i am sick. the people responsible for denying their children vaccination, which lead to these deaths, should be tried for negligent manslaughter
If this were a third world country, I probably would be pretty fucking suspicious of vaccines. But here, vaccines are cleaner, and generally the doctor's seem to give some what of a shit. Even if the one case was true, it'd be even more pointless than avoiding flying. But charging parents with manslaughter just because they don't get their kid's vaccinated is a bit harsh, considering our position as a champion of human rights.
Failing to vaccinate your children for no medical reason should be criminally negligent.
Here, it is.

how and why is this funny ( talking about OP's icon.)
What about the rights of the children they're denying vaccines to, or the other infants who were infected because of their negligence?
A week or so coarse that give's the parents all the fact's in a nice and friendly manner, and debunk the falses. If they agree to get the child vaccinated afterwards, then all is well. If they want to not get vaccinated, that is fine but don't keep the child from getting his.
Failing to vaccinate your children for no medical reason should be criminally negligent.
This, in any region where vaccinations are free (and really, they should be).
What I'm wondering is how do they know where and who the virus came from? Just because you are immune to a virus doesn't mean you can't carry or transmit it. Also, too young for vaccines? I thought you got injected with tons of vaccines when you were born.
no vaccine, no disneyland my god those children don't have a big future

I can't remember which was measles I would guess 2 months.
How did the anti-vaccination thing even become a movement in the first place?
It became a thing from a combination of stupidity and religion. Oh vaccines cause autism! It's a government conspiracy, I don't want my daughter to die! I'm a jehovah's witness no foreign substances in my body. It's shit like this that prevents society from advancing at the costs of people's lives.
Wow, this is pretty bad, although Anaheim is fucked up either way
I doubt anybody knows by today but my bet would be on subconscious irrational fear of injections paired with Big Pharma/Spooky Gubbermint/Illuminati thoughts in somebody.
a long time back a so called ' scientist ' made a fake dossier about that vaccines cause autism, this has been proven wrong many times and later discovered that he filed it for money (the fake results), lost his licence and had to pay a big amount of money. Later some celebrity porn star made a big campaign about how vaccines caused her son to have autism, while it was never ever proofed again that vaccines cause autism, and in recent studies over 10 000/10 000 etc etc many many experiments blalala later ; they do not cause autism! Idiots keep spreading these rumors (mostly bio-freaks, like my girlfriend's mother), and keep them alive in the community. So basically: / tldr : Fake science idiot claimed vaccines caused autism for money Years later an idiot (ex?)playboy bunny claimed her son has autism caused to vaccines together with idiots who claimed this made it come back into the world (from 1990 and on i believe)
