Without Flash Games I'm sure we never would've seen Alien Hominid, Castle Crashers, BattleBlock Theater, or even the thumbnail's Super Meat Boy.
(I haven't watched the video because I'm at work, but they probably say the exact same thing)

Holy shit I totally forgot about this smug fuck, what's the name of this game again?
On another note, this game reminded me of this flash game

Junkbot
I'm sad that the best tower defence games still only exist in flash, and that the genre never really picked up

[Flight of the Valkyries intensifies]
One of my favorite flash games I'll always miss. I can't remember the name of it I only remember you played in medieval times, fought in dungeons killed the usual monsters and looted better gear. It was a side-scrolling brawler. If I could find it I would play the crap out of it again and again! But if I remember correctly they updated it with multiplayer features so it's likely gone now.
Flash games were great for school computer labs.

Best flash game.
The most inventive and innovative of its time.

he forgot to mention that Macromedia/Adobe Shockwave brought 3D games to the web in an indie sphere, yes they took a fucking long time to load but most were worth it
Newgrounds also had a brilliant judgement system, nothing went up there automatically, everything had to be approved by the users before it went up. It kept the shit stuff out and allowed the good stuff to come in, it also meant that if something amazing was uploaded for judgement, it could blow up before it had even been approved for mass publication
Greenlights process is so slow, Valve should of borrowed from NG, no concept shit, the full game in full for everyone to try out and if it sucked ass, you voted it down, if it fucking ruled, get that shit in. None of this "you gotta believe me" crap, if Newgrounds had that, i dont think itd be as notable as we all say it is
Tbh just for the fact that it allowed people to easily make games far before the indie scene ever even existed makes it pretty important
they were indie games before indie games
its like websites that were youtube before youtube. Very important things that were the primitive-internet version of today
Way of the ninja remains one of the best flash games of all time. Good sound design, tight controls, perfect movement mechanics, and hundreds of levels. I spent months beating that shit back in high school. One of the most brutally difficult but absolutely fair games you'll ever play.

Hey I'm not sure if this counts as warez or abandonware since they deleted the games off lego.com but if anyone wants to play Junkbot again, download part 3 of this pack: http://biomediaproject.com/bmp/lmp/games/
It also has a full list of the games here if you want it: http://biomediaproject.com/bmp/lmp/games/lego-game-archive-contents/
If this isn't allowed, I'll remove the links but I just thought I'd help someone get their nostalgia like I am.

Funny, I used to play (And still do, from time to time. Great time killer) the Love Hina Sim Date
It helped that the ending song was pretty good

That game was so fucking hard. I could never get past the first level.
I always find that mobiles games now are flash games then, except commercialized.

I was a master at this game. There's a specific region that's about 1x1px in area that's right on the bikini line near the cooch that you have to touch. Touching that area will always max out the Orgasm meter without causing her to wake up. Of course you only know this if you're a sex god like me and know that's where the REAL g-spot is for females.
Oh man, Kitten Canon, DADGAME, Hapland, and Stick Arena were the shit.
ah yes plenty of hours of my misspent youth in Super Deepthroat
I guess it shows my age, but it feels like Flash popularity ended rather abruptly. I kinda miss stuff like the Madness games and HL2: Codename Gordon

I remember playing this game a lot. The glitches and bugs makes it a truly fun experience.
You know even with zombies having already reached the oversaturation (and annoyance) in the market, I still find The Last Stand 1 & 2 to be hella fun.
Newgrounds: The cradle of indie games.

That game makes me feel so old. I remember when it was released. It was Christmas break and I spent that week locked in my room. I can't believe that guy continually updated it after that for three years.
Apparently the guy died in a car crash. There's no conclusive evidence but considering he dropped off the grid afterwards and there's been no word from him since, plus some corroborating news articles about it around the same week, there's some heavy implications.

Let's not forget about how he apparently did all the VO work himself.
