Plane crash this weekend at an airshow in Dayton, Ohio killed two.
It's like that one video with a big airplane that lifted to fast or something, it just plummets down and then fireball. It looks really unreal.
I've seen Jane in a few airshows. Her act was amazing and the airshows I go to won't be the same
Its always a creepy feeling when you watch these videos and know whats gonna happen but everyone else is normal and cant possibly expect whats to come. I get the same feeling watching the challenger explode and 9/11 videos/calls
For a few second i though it happend to the today air show a few miles from my house, and a part of the show include something exactly like this.
what happened? it looked like it was about to turn back over and then it just dipped down. and why did it explode once it rolled?
it exploded because plane fuel is really really really flammable
well remind me never to fuck around plane fuel at the slight chance that i generate slight warmth by sitting on it
That has got to be the worst way to die.
What's the sound when the plane hits the ground, the sounds just before the explosion.
What's the sound when the plane hits the ground, the sounds just before the explosion.
sounds to me like the engine going nuts before detonating
What's the sound when the plane hits the ground, the sounds just before the explosion.
Rotor still spinning, hitting debris / the ground.
I can't even imagine what it would be like to be standing in a huge crowd watching people die helplessly infront of you all. It gives me shivers just thinking about it.
The commentating is so eerie. "JANE STANDING ON TOP OF THE WORLD..." and then that happens. Jinxed!
What's the sound when the plane hits the ground, the sounds just before the explosion.
It sounded like Jane plummeting, along with the plane's components.
That has got to be the worst way to die.
She died instantly. Even drowning sucks more.
it exploded because plane fuel is really really really flammable
Standard jet fuel is actually very difficult to ignite. You can drop a match into a 5 gallon bucket of it and the chances are that the match will just go out. Only when you have a mist of it in air is it even remotely easy to set off. This is a prop plane though so who knows what it was using.
Jet engines run on kerosene. Prop planes run on avgas, which is around 110 octane fuel, high powered version of what you put in your car.

Anyone else remember this sections rules? I sure don't.
I always wonder what the pilot is thinking, the moment when she realizes everything has gone horribly wrong and she is seconds before an instant end to her life, while doing the thing she is most known for.
I always wonder what the pilot is thinking, the moment when she realizes everything has gone horribly wrong and she is seconds before an instant end to her life, while doing the thing she is most known for.
I think the two of them going out doing the thing they (I assume) loved to do, isn't a half bad way to die to be honest. The death would be pretty much instant anyway, the amount of time it would take for you to process what happened? I imagine you would be dead. So I mean, could be worse. I mean, it's still horrible, no doubt.
She died instantly. Even drowning sucks more.
I imagine she atleast knew she was going to die for the split second after the downward turn, unfortunately. My gut sinks each time I see her arm flail upward just before the impact. An instantaneous death yes, a ''good'' one? No. Her final moment was dying while performing in front of hundreds of people, mostly children and families and such, this is literally her worst nightmare. Poor woman.
I wonder what happened. It's like the pilot second guessed themselves or maybe was losing control and was just avoiding the crowd. I'm glad they avoided the crowd, I've seen the videos for that one incident with the stunt jets and oh my god...I can't imagine how terrifying it was for the people who were there.

The last words she heard "sitting on top of the world"
The last words she heard "sitting on top of the world"
and also "I hope she doesn't disappear from us" whoops

Why do I watch these videos.
It's like he moved the stick in the wrong direction...I mean being upside down it's reversed and all. Maybe a lapse of judgement?
