At the date 2009-07-23 i decided to join xfire. http://www.xfire.com/profile/nugse Now that i take a look at my xfire it tells me i played over 1710 hours since that date. And the worst part is that it doesn't count my internet usage (surfing) and games it isn't updated for, or when i close it. So i decided to calc a little. I joined 317 days ago. Thats 5,39 hours of pure gaming every single day (Counting the days i have xfire on and the games it detects) And i use about 1-2 hours on surfing. So facepunch, am i really that addicted to gaming? My friends tells me :gbsmith: Edited: Well since this is confirmed i would like to ask another question. How come life sucks for me? I enjoy sitting inside playing games, it's wasting my time but i enjoy it. Off course i still enjoy walking with my dog etc, but it's not just that fun. How could i make it more fun to walk with my dog?
yep you are

yes go outside
I tried playing WoW for a couple months, it was fun, but how did you put nearly 700 hours in to it? I just don't understand how something can be THAT addicting

Yup, you're soon evolving to a G33K.
I tried playing WoW for a couple months, it was fun, but how did you put nearly 700 hours in to it? 2 days and 17 hours on MW2 since I got it :D I guess that's not as bad (that's 65 hours of nothing but online Gameplay and I haven't even prestiged yet. That's either a very demanding game or I'm just shit at it...)

If you're playing 5 hours a day and you have to ask yourself that, then yes you are. You're probably playing a lot because you have nothing else to do. I used to play from 4-10pm when I got home every day, now I play maybe an hour or two a week. Just try to find other hobbies, or hang out more with friends.

I play games 7+ hours a day every day and have been for five years. I'm addicted. But who cares? It's not like games are unhealthy for you. If I wasen't playing games I'd be doing something else that doesn't involve moving. At least when I play games I get to improve my hand-eye coordination.
I only really put a lot of time into games when it's the holidays and no-one's doing anything (apart from getting pissed and having parties) and when i have no homework.

Everything that involves doing interacting with any object is improving hand-eye coordination. Sports improve hand-eye coordination.
