• What is it called when a hypnotist does this?

Sometimes they put people in an altered state and ask them questions. The thing is how do they ask questions that the patient doesn't want them to know. I've seen them answer to questions that they didn't even know. When they go under do they put in a "suggestion" for them to be asked questions? Because I know that they can't do what they don't want to, everything is a suggestion. What is it called when a hypnotist puts someone into a sleep/trance and ask them questions. I seen this live and my person knows them and they did it and found out some personal questions that they didn't want the hypnotist to know(The hypnotist did it to show me). It worked though. I don't know how but I would like to know what it's called, and when he was in a trance this is the first thing he said, "Are you asleep?" Then my friend answered back, "Yes." In a lower voice then he normally talks. So, let me know. Thanks, Justin

A trance? Since I solved your problem I think I also get to insult you. *ahem* By the way 3rd circle of hell is also for post signers. Have a nice day.
I've seen them answer to questions that they didn't even know.
in most cases, the hypnotized person will refer to things they read/saw and forgot about (novels, TV shows etc.) when trying to find material for such things. this is where most "past life" stories come from.
Thank you for notifying me that such a thing existed, I feel at ease knowing that there is something available which can help my specific problem.
It's called hypnosis (used in hypnotherapy).
Thank you for notifying me that such a thing existed, I feel at ease knowing that there is something available which can help my specific problem.
Err, what's your problem?
Good joke right here guys. There was once a hypnotist who had this beautiful watch. He was on a stage in front of a bunch of people and all of a sudden he dropped the watch and said "shit". it took them three days to clean the auditorium.
Wow, if you read that was not the question. I can hypnotize people and suggest for them do things but if they don't want to do it then they don't have to. But some hypnotist use a method I don't know of to actually make them answer against their will and turn off their subconscious mind just like your sleeping. While your sleeping your subconscious mind is off and while awake it's on, with my methods it's on. So, next time read my thread a little better. Thank you.

Look it up, do research. I am not explaining here and yes it is off while your sleep. It isn't completely off but we refer to it as off and as in we me and other hypnotist, scientist, whatever you call people who do sleep studies.

Either that or drug induced false memory.
PelPix123, did you read what I said. I PUT PEOPLE UNDER HYPNOSIS, I do it that fast way. Instantaneous introductions. But my friend and I were talking to this one hypnotist and he wouldn't tell us what he did. But he did it. He didn't even make a suggestion about personal questions he just did. Also instead of 45 minutes to 6 hours I do it in 5-10 minutes and usually get what I want. But, PLEASE, I really really ask of this. DO NOT POST HERE IF YOU HAVE NO CLUE WHAT HYPNOSIS IS OR HOW TO DO IT. Thank you, Justin

Involves a weakening of the will 3. Loss of Consciousness 4. Hypnosis can't lead to a permanent cure 5. Cures in one session 6. Deep Hypnosis is necessary for good results 7. Inability to be de-hypnotized All of these are stupid, retarded beliefs people still hold about Hypnosis. Also, the Subconscious is MOST ACTIVE WHILE ASLEEP. I now see that this is a troll thread. Mods forgive me for posting here I did not see it at the time.
Look it up, do research. I am not explaining here and yes it is off while your sleep. It isn't completely off but we refer to it as off and as in we me and other hypnotist, scientist, whatever you call people who do sleep studies.
The Subconscious is most active when you are asleep, in fact, the time when it's most active (REM Cycle) is in fact the ONLY good that comes out of sleep, studies show that people deprived of REM sleep behave and act as though they got no sleep at all, even if they got around 5-6 hours of non-REM sleep. In fact, Freud did an explanation as to the origins of dreams, which are a result of the Ego masking desires and thoughts from the Id into more acceptable forms. It's known as Secondary Elaboration, C'mon, I thought a "hypnotist" would know this better. [editline]12:26PM[/editline]
The thing is that in deep trance, people don't have an ego to upkeep or a reputation to keep from blemishing. It's not forcing people to say things against their will, it's just making them not care if they say it. Also, I have to point out that you're quite wrong about the subconscious mind being "off" when you're sleeping. What the hell do you think dreams are?
People under Hypnosis are far more open to suggestion, true, but if they don't want to say something they still won't say it, it's just that they are more likely to say something they don't really care about opening up about.
Exactly what I said Canuhearme. Also CanUHearME, again! It's called Instantaneous Introduction. I use it all the time, I do a pre-talk session with them for about 5-8 minutes and then I pick a method to use and explain it to them so their not afraid and then I go at it. Then I let them go down deeper and deeper as I count down from 5. Also, school. Goodbye.
They use a lot of leading questions to get information that is largely made up on the spot.

First of all... its not called instantaneous introduction... its called a rapid or instant induction and seriously you probably can't even do this, but if you not correctly I assure. The reason I know this is that I have a certification which includes letters after my name XD. For your information aswell I am 16. OP: Hypersuggestability, this is where the subject is so induced in trance that he or she is suggestable at high levels. This is also how inducting into trance works. If you use a shock method (such as a tug of the arm) for a split second the brain is hypersuggestable and you can insert the sleep command.

Mindfuck.
I can't be hypnotised because my mind is too strong, only pussy minds get hypnotised. Regards, Ben.
I am sorry but you are also right Joey and people around were I live call it instantaneous introduction and I use a few different methods. I am lagging so I won't list them all but a few are, Handshake, and hand-press. With the handshake you give them a handshake pull on their arm and throw in the command "sleep" within that second that the shock hits them. With the hand press they press down on your hand and you press up a little bit and quickly pull away and that also cause a shock and then you throw in the command. By the way it has worked on many of my friends and family and people I don't even know. Mostly a success with all of them. I'm 14 by the way and there are a lot of teenage hypnotist believe it or not. Their just not famous so you never hear of them.
