The fact that a good few of our politicians are making underhanded remarks in Israel's direction is nice and all, but any vote for any sort of action will be thrown out by the Republican controlled house.

Israel is just under the microscope right now, but there are a nice handful of countries going through some ethnic cleansing right now.

The reason Americans support Israel is because Israel does not (and probably never will) pose a threat to the Western world. Hamas is heavily supported by Iran. Iran is quite possibly the biggest potential threat to the United States in the world. Israel opposes Iran and Hamas. This is why the United States dumps money on Israel despite all their fuckups.
