The account will serve a similar purpose to the one of CIA, a way of sharing information and knowledge about the authority's activities according to Milder. - This will be both interesting and fun, says Milder."
(Translated to English by yours truly.) it's hilarious that people are actually laughing at this CIA joke bullshit like, an organization that literally kills people is getting praise because they made a FUNNY TWITTER ACCOUNT. it's like the taco bell/ dennys' effect; as long as you have funny twitter PR people ignore your shortcomings
They don't only kill people though, that's why they create these accounts to tell people what other stuff they actually do besides the whole espionage thing.
So PST, CIA and now SÄPO. I wonder who's next?
MI5.
MI5.
@CIA we have a license to tweet
They really got some humor now and then, especially the norwegian OPS accounts for each district. And even when they don't make an effort to joke, there's always the weird calls. "Reports of a vehicle crashed in a barn." "Police at the scene, intoxicated driver crashed vehicle through side of barn. License revoked, driver taken home for the night." -One hour later- "Driver returned even further intoxicated with tractor, tried to remove his vehicle. Further damaged the barn. Bloodtest taken." [editline]10th June 2014[/editline] "Majorstua, Oslo. Complaints of street musician that has been playing one single song for the last two months, police on scene. Musician requested to extend his repertoire." "Reports of domestic abuse with screaming women. When we arrived, it was discovered to be a nurse-vorspiel. We will be on our way any time now." "An intoxicated man asked the police for help in finding the car he did not know where he parked. The police did not help."
