What exactly happens after around 20 hours?

I really want to try this game, but its just too expensive
A game being boring at first by design is not unheard of, but for 20 fucking hours? That's... Slightly miscalculated on developer's part.
Feels as if it will get too repetitive too quickly to keep me entertained for long, even with the additional stuff after ~20 hours.
he said it took him 6 hours to leave his first star system when I did it in 2 hours
It depends entirely on your playstyle, seeing as how all you are given is the starting quest of fixing your ship, and what you do is all up to you.
I decided I'd give the game a try and I can see where people can feel conflicted about this. I know I am. The first couple hours are really quite interesting but after that it turns into a grindfest that feels like it has no purpose. And holy shit, I agree completely with the inventory system. It is a nightmare. The inventory in the first Mass Effect was better.
i dont like how you can't move tech around in the inventory but honestly if you just sink a lot of money into getting more slots it's not bad.

[sp]You start on the most boring planets, you have the most limited equipment, you have no direction, you aren't even told how anything functions, and you're locked out of a ton of stuff. They could have left more breadcrumbs along the way for you to follow than the fuck all they do give you.[/sp]

It has been pretty fun trying to distinguish what the star classes mean or finding out neat things like your visor picking up fauna or gaining stat boosts by placing upgrades in adjacent slots. But yeah they definitely should have put a little more thought into throwing players a bone, like a codex that explains certain mechanics or something at least.
