I just saw a trailer for this movie. I read these books a long time ago, when they first came out and loved them. I cant wait to see it.

well im pretty sure they're geared towards younger readers, but the story is not bad at all.
And i agree it was disappointing a little bit, but it wont stop me from going to see it.

I haven't read the books but I hear those who have have really enjoyed it.

I love this series, and the vampires don't suck.
I found this series enjoyable but it wasn't amazing.
I'll watch the movie if reviews are good or If I'm having a particularly slow day.
Why can't people ever return to the original vampires? Things these days suck.

I read this series in 6th grade, so good. Read most of the books in about a day and the last one made me cry :argh:.

I met darren shan on a school trip once, he's pretty cool, I don't really like his books anymore but when I did whenever I got his books I'd read it in a day. Yeah he is Irish, not the character though.

He said his real name was actually Darren O'Shano I think, but that was ages ago. Got a signed copy of the last book.

I Loved the novels, I started reading it at my school...But some asshole stole the 7th book >:C so I couldn't finish the series.
Pfft the movies been Americanised. It's meanna be a horror not some fucking comedy.
Besides the actors look to old for the character, They're meant to be kids. Changed the intro and its not based 100% on the book story line, They say they just took the ideas and put it together.
I'll still watch it though, But cringe.
I always imagined Larten Crepsley as Bill Nighy or Alan Rickman. The movie needs to be a LOT darker, and isn't the regenerating person in the books a guy?

I loved the books. Although this looks much too comedic... its supposed to be much darker...
I love this series, read all 12 and it isn't that lame-ass Twilight bullshit. I'm very disappointed with the trailer, they're going to ruin the books for me.
