Viacom and Harmonix have been passing the bill back and forth to one another like a ping-pong ball. The latest update is that Viacom has been ordered by an arbitrator to pay former Harmonix shareholders $383 million.
The dispute is all over promised bonuses that were only partially delivered when Viacom acquired Harmonix, and then consequently sold them off.
Viacom is not accepting the decision without a fight and has filed suit under the premise that arguments and evidence were "improperly excluded."
eat shit viacom.
Viacom has had this and so much more shit coming to them over the years.
Sharing is caring, Viacom
Haha, wow.
They bought the company on a promise to pay its shareholders then sold it off again to get out of it.
That's not bad business, that's evil.
Fucking yes, I hate Viacom.

It's actually pretty good business but fuck is it evil.
Fucking love Harmonix. Couldn't care less about their dance games, but they support rock band and I'm happy that I always have content.

I'm also a fan of a couple of bands made up of employees there. Freezepop being one of them.

Wait, what? Seriously?
Even Kotick would call this evil.
Justice shall be done this day. Sadly Verizon cannot be forced to change their evil ways or face complete and utter dissolution, since everybody knows that the corporations are in the pants and pockets of government.

Yes, Visa will pay today indeed. I bet those Vectren employees sit in their little VECO offices and regret that they ever had anything to do with Harmonix. ViewSonic will indeed pay the price for what they did to them. Hopefully more companies will attack Walmart like they did today in the future until one day we can finally say
RIP Will Smith.
383 million is chump change for Viacom.

Really good point, they are an enormous media conglomerate.
I just hope that this doesn't ruin Rock Band's chances of receiving Viacom content based on bad relations between the two companies. Think about how much damage Viacom could do to Harmonix if they refused to license music for future titles/DLC

Too bad, this is Viacom.

this will probably not have any impact as long as Viacom sees profit in licensing music to rock band
