Holy shit!
I remember seeing this. I don't how long the fun would last though.
I remember trying this. It was meh. Not something I'd pay for, to be honest.
the ultimate space simulator
Space? Space? SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!
Holy shit, this looks really interesting. I might buy it.
When I tried it, it was a glorified particle simulator, maybe it has improved?
I remember trying this over a year ago and was going to buy it then, but forgot. Buying it now.
Holy shit, I was just thinking about this the other day. So awesome that it's on Steam now.
Bought it now. It looks pretty interesting.
I remember the original having such a bad protection against piracy that you could just enter any serial number and it would accept it :v:
This one seems to crash a lot. I've crashed at least four or five different simulations already
I couldn't even get it to start. I'm reinstalling it to see if it will help. Didn't help, still getting this :saddowns:

Heh it has Achievements.
really not sure if i want this
Theres a demo on their website. Anyway Space Engine > Universe Sandbox.
To anyone on the fence, this is a sandbox experiment type game. You can load up different scenarios; the entire known universe, our solar system, just Earth and the moon, just Jupiter and its moons, or even some more destructive ones like galaxy's colliding, gamma ray bursts, or things of that nature. When you load them up, you can then tweak with different variables (changing an objects mass, diameter, density, or its orbital elements) or add in other objects (planets, stars, asteroids, there's even actual objects like soccer balls or dice) and see how everything reacts. When you load up the destructive ones, you can kinda just sit back in watch as things unfold under the default settings for the scenario, or tweak them and experiment. If anyone has any questions, just ask and I'll try and answer them for ya guys.
Woah, I still have an original licence for this. It's not really a game though, so I'm not sure why it's on steam.

[editline]29th April 2011[/editline]
Theres a demo on their website. Space engine doesn't even have gravity
From what I've seen, I'd still go with Space Engine. It's free and better looking, it's also going to get lots of new features soon. Space battles I think are next. (I think are the key words here)
I like Space Engine, but having the option to screw with gravity and terraform shit is far more fun!

I was going to say something like "needs more Outerra" but this looks like a lot of fun [editline]e[/editline]
I couldn't even get it to start. This looks fun, Might try it out... Wait wut? The game is only 10% off from £6.99 to £6.23? DEAL
reinstalling should have helped, verify cache might have also worked.
It doesn't, but this does
I fixed this before the Dev, he congratulated me on the forums :D To solve this I registered and found the solution for you guys! Go into your steamapps/common/universe sandbox folder, then go into the prerequisites folder, install the vc_redist_x86_2010.exe. Problem solved, I just think the installer isn't calling upon the exe upon installation, therefore causing the problem.
The creator of this has a facepunch account.
Wow I just saw this on the store page. Im surprised they got this onto Steam, although thats not a bad thing Ive wasted quite a few hours on this.
SPACE SPACE SPACE SPACE!!! This is going to be the best game ever seen by me!
