Fuck yes! I'm on it. Can't wait for this one. Has been some time since I had some nice multiplayer shooting action going.
and so the excruciating wait until release begins
Hell to the yeah! If only my internet wasn't slow as fuck right now :(
It's on the brink of release then? :downsrim:
Here's for hoping they made a encryption mistake like with homefront where you could just run the exe, haha.
I think I will wait for the reviews on this one before I buy it.
Hell yeah!
I think I will wait for the reviews on this one before I buy it.
here i'll review it right now it's awesome go buy it
Hell yes. Pre-loading now.
Hopefully D2D hands out keys early so their customers can preload... Why did I use D2D, you ask? Brink was $38 through them after a coupon.

[editline]7th May 2011[/editline] Just activated mine, its downloading now.
Awesome! My lack of paying attention to this game has paid off, as it's out in 3 days and I've only just noticed!
I hope there isn't much to download once I install it from the CD. I ordered mine retail so I hope I don't install 8GB and then have to download another 4 or so :(

There's probably only 6 ways to die and the rest are like Shot by a silenced rifle Shot by a silenced pistol Shot by a silenced rifle while ignited Shot by a silenced pistol while ignited Killed by a grenade while ignited Which are very much all ways to die, but not very different.
Why do I keep thinking that this game will die out in a month?
Why do I keep thinking that this game will die out in a month?
I feel uneasy about this purchase, it feels like my gut feeling is screaming at me to cancel my preorder but I have too much trust in BRINK. Time will tell.
Why do I keep thinking that this game will die out in a month?
TBH it sounds like a horribly overhyped multiplayer only FPS with a few gimmicks slapped onto it that'll just hamper gameplay. I don't see any reason to purchase it, because I already have enough genuinely good FPS MP games for when I have an itch to play a multiplayer game, even if it is with just bots (like Unreal Tournament 1).
I found a 50 dollar check in my room yesterday. gonna cash that shit and preorder.
I don't understand how people can say a TF2 meets parkour game looks generic.
The more I look into Brink, the more generic it looks to me.
The more I look into Brink, the more generic it looks to me.
Call of duties are generic, brink tries something new atleast. And it has an awesome character customization.
It's ETQW on steroids you fools
Title: BRINK Genre: Action Developer: Splash Damage Publisher: Bethesda Softworks Release Date: May 9, 2011 Languages: English Single-player Multi-player Co-op
[editline]7th May 2011[/editline] I loved both Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and quake wars, and I expect no disappointments. [editline]7th May 2011[/editline] Also, there is Single-Player too. It's is not only Multiplayer.
Fuck yes.
Character customization is aesthetic. It's not something that will add replay value. (Chances are people who will be playing this play it because it's an FPS, not because it's The Sims) What exactly is Brink trying that is new? I see absolutely nothing new and fresh being brought to the table of FPS's.
Technically it's nothing new, but it does mix up some fun things that aren't too common.
Why do I keep thinking that this game will die out in a month?
because it looks like shit. not visually (well, visually as well actually), from what I've seen (I've seen a lot) it doesn't look fun to play AT ALL.
The more I look into Brink, the more generic it looks to me.
stop misusing the term "generic"!!
What exactly is Brink trying that is new? I see absolutely nothing new and fresh being brought to the table of FPS's.
Brink features a bunch of new stuff like parkouring, in-depth character customization and a pretty cool setting just to name a few it's just too bad that the execution looks dreadfully sub-par.
When do you think we will get our pre-order bonus keys?
No clue, I never ordered from them before. The golden has posted in pretty much every Brink news thread on how he finds it looks uninteresting and boring, whats the point of that? I mean there is nothing coming out of this discussion. Some peoples opinion are it looks boring, others like it. That's not gonna change, but its always starting a discussion that's just spinning in circles going nowhere.
I am torn between getting this for the console or the PC. PC is superior but all my friends own consoles. This looks more of a social game than any other i've seen, but the reflexes required to play such a fast-paced game are useless on a console. Why is there no demo?
