Damn, that's a shitty quality atm.
was that morgan freeman?
was that morgan freeman?
Looked a whole lot like him but it wasn't the same VA.
well shit i was hyped but the movement looks REALLY un-fluid they really gotta improve there but besides that im pretty much glad they dident bastardize the game
Dunno what I think about this. Looks a bit iffy.
was that morgan freeman?
It was Pele
If they called it something different I wouldn't mind, but this is just so over the top compared to the original.
? Not sure what you guys are talking about. Looks pretty good. You couldn't really glean enough information from the game via this video to objectively say it looks "iffy" IMO, unless you are talking about visuals (I think it looks visually excellent). Its basically a CGI trailer with very brief gameplay segments. I assume you all watched the actual 1080p trailer annotated at the start and not the stream rip from the OP? tbh this looks more like Remember Me than Mirrors Edge artstyle-wise that is
I'm not disappointed... But I'm not happy or excited either...
It looks very generic.
It feels like it is and it isn't generic and I don't understand why
I need to see MORE! i can't decide!
The original game had a little bit of tact and subtlety, this just has drones buzzing around in your face.
This one has no real gameplay out yet and you're basing this all off of a cinematic trailer that can get away with "drones buzzing around in your face" because it wouldn't ruin the gameplay experience. Personally I think the art style looks fine, the guards all look overly designed now, but the city still has the harder lines of the old design. Just with extra details everywhere. Which makes me think I was right in the other thread, now they have the engine and resources they can actually realise the design they wanted more accurately.
Dammit, I was waiting for the Mirror's Edge theme to kick in at the end. Guess not :(
It looks very generic.
Oh no. I mean I don't give a shit about the ME franchise but I'm sure the fans are gon' be satisfied with this. She kicked someone through window, perhaps to his death, which was also cool, and notable. Wasn't this game about balancing between clean and dirty play-styles? Obviously up to the player of course.
Why is there flying cars and stuff? If this is supposed to be a prequel, then why is it set in the future? The original Mirrors Edge was set in modern times.
Why is there flying cars and stuff? If this is supposed to be a prequel, then why is it set in the future? The original Mirrors Edge was set in modern times.
Where did you get the idea this is a prequel?
Where did you get the idea this is a prequel?
At some point they said is was a prequel and then a reboot and now it's a preqel reboot
yeah i'm not digging this if not just for the design of the city. before it was subtle with the design where it looked like a regular city with only the colors being completely white which was cool! this one went way too sci-fi with it and looks like a cluttered mess. the original was also subtle with the fact that the city was a dystopia and even at times suggested that you might've actually been a bad guy in a way, which i absolutely loved. this one is just straight good v. evil it seems and that announcement literally saying "personal freedom comes at a price" like come on now. hopefully gameplay is at least good...
I don't know about you guys but if they literally just copied the visual style of the first game verbatim that would be uninspired and boring as hell It was a good style, and they didn't really totally abandon it. Just tweaked it enough to be unique from the first. Which isn't bad?
Well as long as it's a fun game then I'm not bothered by the aesthetic change :downs:
They changed her face I think.
this e3 has been the biggest in numbers of "meh" awards
this e3 has been the biggest in numbers of "meh" awards
It's Facepunch. We'll always jump at the opportunity to criticize something.
This is a big disappointment to the original ME fans. They disguarded the entire art style and she looks really edgy now.
They've completely lost the clean lines of the original game, it looks like a greebled clusterfuck. Also there's no way that soundtrack is from Solar Fields.
wow, so a real electronic music producer was in charge of the first one, no wonder i love this song so much
Maybe a little late, but the entire soundtrack of the first game it's at Spotify https://play.spotify.com/album/7fS5tGixMNR7s3G5Eh515y

Which isn't bad?
I could of cared a lot less for the graphics if they had continued the story where they left off, especially since that "uninspired and boring" visual style felt way more realistic than "future city X with flying cars n' shit" Then again, people have been screaming "MORE GUNS! MORE PARKOUR!" for years now so the target audience was bound to be sidelined at any rate. EA also fucking around inside DICE also did not help the matter. They had their own agenda and well.... It's EA.
This video makes me want to hurt myself doing some crazy-ass roof-to-roof jumping [editline]16th June 2015[/editline] Damn, that was really good well done.
