A 12-year-old boy will be taught in isolation at his UK school because he is constantly bullied about his red hair.
Tyler Walsh has been the victim of extreme bullying at Yate International Academy in Bristol, all because of his fiery red hair.
The bullies have even been visited by police in an attempt to stop them from taunting Tyler and chasing him into the school's toilets – but to no avail.
Now the school says it has no choice but to remove Tyler from his class and place him in their 'pupil inclusion unit', meaning he will be separated from the rest of his classmates.
Tyler's mother Emma says the school is targeting the wrong student.
"It should be the bullies who are excluded from school, not their victim," she told The Sun.
"Tyler is a bright boy, and he wants to learn. He always works hard, and that, along with the colour of his hair, makes him a target for bullies."
Mrs Walsh now says she has no choice but to pull her son from the school because it has failed to end Tyler's ordeal.
"He has been bullied from the minute he started secondary school - before Christmas we even had to get the police involved after he was beaten up on the street.
One boy held him down while another one kicked and punched him in the stomach.
The police went round to the other boy's house and had a word, but he was back at school the next day, and the bullying was worse than ever.
"The bullies shout at him and intimidate him in the school corridors, and steal his schoolbag at lunchtime and throw it over the wall."
To add insult to injury, the school is refusing to send Tyler work to complete while he searches for a new, bully-free, school.
"He wants to learn and has been getting excellent grades," Mrs Walsh told The Sun.
"Yate International Academy has punished one boy, when a whole group was involved. I think it is absolutely disgusting."
The school has defended its actions, saying it has followed all of its bullying guidelines.
Get a life people, the poor kid probley suffered mentaly from the abuse far out..
Poor kid.
why would you exclude the victim from normal lessons instead of the bullies?
If this were america at least the kid would have the option to shoot up the place.
Boxfort.

The sacrifice of one is better than the sacrifice of many, generally speaking. Apply it to wanting the least shitstorm, and this happens.
Why in the shit are the bullies left free to continue edication while he gets isolated? Where's the fairness in that?
Insult to injury.
It's ridiculous that people are bullied about hair colour to start with.
If this were america at least the kid would have the option to shoot up the place.
Wow are you really so butthurt about gun control discussions that you had to bring it in a completely unrelated thread?

Grade A post right here.

He's not giving his life to save others and the bullies refuse to stop mistreating him. Send them to Juvie I say.
And now the school has to spend a lot more on heating.
DAMN
[release]
GINGERS
[/release]
The bullies should be taught in isolation instead; the rest of the class should not suffer their flippantry. Also, the bullies need to be made an example of; humiliated and degraded to the point where they shriek in terror at the sheer thought of bullying someone, an example to warn the children agaisnt being little asshats, thus saving a generation from being infected by the memetic DISEASE that is douchebaggery.

But that "sacrifice" of many is made up entirely of fucking reprobates, they should not be prioritised over an innocent victim regardless of how many of them there are.

the kid should be given the option to shoot you
I would understand this anywhere else in the world, anywhere else.
But in the UK?
Scotland is right there, heck, his last name is even Walsh.
yeah make the kid feel worse because he has to be taught alone away from what friends he has as the bullies win by getting him away from them.

Britain basically created ginger hate. It goes way back to medieval ages about them being demon children/devils.
People being discriminatory toward Jews?
Put them in special camps where no one will bully them.
I feel his pain.
I used to be that kid everyone picked on.
Every single day kids would taunt me, spread rumors and shit behind my back, I've even been punched in the face and gut a few times.
They should seriously punish the bullies here, I know they aren't "punishing" the red-head kid, but if I were him it would sure feel that way.
Poor little guy.
kid needs to man up,
Iv got ginger hair and yeah I got the usual shitty insults all through my school life, but most of them were so unimaginative, such as basically "lol ginger", that I just laughed and shrugged it off. Plus I had a good circle of mates.
At the end of the day its just a hair colour... and if you show bullys that it gets to you and they will just keep doing it.
edit: fucking stupid for the school to disrupt his learning by pulling him from classes though.

You still shouldn't have to put up with it. Even if it doesn't affect you, it's still wrong, and needs to go. The fact that the kid was removed from the class is just fucking disgusting.

When i think of gingers i think of Britian, so i don't really get it.
There's a huge difference between ginger jokes with your red-haired friends and bullying a kid out of his damn class. These kids really need to be taught a lesson by their parents
What a soulless thing to do.
The sacrifice of one is better than the sacrifice of many, generally speaking. Apply it to wanting the least shitstorm, and this happens.
That isn't even close to being applicable here. We're talking about an innocent kid being effectively punished while the guilty people are being left alone.
I can't get my head around this. I can't. I can't find a single reason why this would ever be a good way of handling things. There is absolutely no way anybody can ever justify this.

And maybe he didn't have a good circle of friends? And maybe the insults weren't as simple as 'lol ginger'?
Not everyone goes through the same situation, just because yours may have been similar doesn't mean you are in the same position.
fuck you guys gingers are cool
Sorry but i actually know the area (Yate) in which the school is as it's near Bristol... and all i can say is it has to be the most miserable, dark and horrible shithole on earth (after Milton Keynes that is). I'm not surprised this has happened and the good outcome of all this is that he won't have to study in Yate (there's only 1 secondary school in Yate). Believe me this place makes the worst council estate in England look like fucking Barbados
