A nightclub criticised by health officials for selling alcohol for just 10p has responded by putting its prices up to 25p a drink because management want to 'defend people's right to party'.

in my town there's quite a few clubs, most do the £1 drink thing, then there's some mid range ones and finally one bar that'll cost you about £2.50-4 for a vodka and red bull that you could get elsewhere for a quid
the shit bars try to trick you into thinking you're getting more drink for the price, when really they're using cheap vodka and cheap spirits and almost definitely aren't putting a full shot of vodka in your vodka red bull. i don't see why people even bother with cheap clubs, pay a little extra and have a better time/get pissed quicker around people that aren't (always) out to nick your wallet in the loo

Drinks around here usually cost 10 PLN, if not they are most likely super watered down.
10 PLN is about £1.80
That literally would be illegal in Ontario, because we have mandatory minimum prices for booze. It's actually rather bullshit. Beer is literally taxed 40%, and the minimum price for a pack of 24 bottles is $30.
Smirnoff costs $25 a bottle. The statistically cheapest way to get drunk in Ontario is a bottle of 20% ABV Sherry that costs $7.95. It is also the only thing I've ever put in my mouth that has made me want to immediately puke.
