Go home, Scott. Second Republican candidate quits GOP race
Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin has concluded he no longer has a path to the Republican presidential nomination and plans to drop out of the 2016 campaign, according to three Republicans familiar with his decision, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Mr. Walker called a news conference in Madison at 6 p.m. Eastern time.
“The short answer is money,” said a supporter of Mr. Walker’s who was briefed on the decision. “He’s made a decision not to limp into Iowa.”
The supporter said Mr. Walker’s fund-raising had dried up after his decline in the polls and that campaign officials did not feel they could risk going into debt with the race so uncertain. The governor, who was scheduled to be in New York and Washington this week, partly to raise money, had built up an expansive staff, bringing on aides and consultants detailed to everything from Christian conservative outreach to Super Tuesday states. But his fund-raising did not keep pace with the money needed to sustain such an infrastructure.
Shame.
I like Scott Walker. But hey, people are gonna have to drop eventually.
“Scott, for whatever reason, didn’t connect on TV,” said Stan Hubbard, a Minnesota-based television station owner and a major donor to Mr. Walker. “And if you can’t make it on television today in national politics, you’re dead.”
when everything he says is either a brag about how he trashed the middle class or how bad his opponents were, i'd say people don't really like him. i wish kasich would learn not to follow what walker does too, because he's failed at doing half the stuff walker did, and yet the stuff he has done that hasn't emulated walker has been good
Good. Fuck this guy.
This presidential race is so uncertain guys. No one saw this coming. This is a surprise to everyone.

Well he is against the education union so on that point he has my support

a candidate like Marco Rubio or even Jeb is still a better bet though

Teachers unions are a good thing for education, and decimating collective bargaining is just a way to level the playing field for charter schools, at a time when our schools are chronically underfunded and understaffed because of funding cuts and an increasingly shrinking tax base. If big investors want to redo schools, start by paying your taxes. One of my parents works in a district that was funded by Ford through taxes and was always in top shape until Ford got their plants turned into a tax-free zone and now the school district has after years of cuts had to close schools and its overfilled and understaffed. Not because of a powerful teachers union, but because big manufacturers wiggled out of paying local taxes for critical infrastructure

People are wondering why our schools are suddenly unable to be funded, its because we let companies get away without paying school taxes. I'm for reasonable taxes, but school taxes should never be part of any local manufacturers tax deal
I wish people like Colin Powell would run on the republican ticket, but as is we get the same batch and types every year. Can't agree with any of the current republican candidates. Trump is an asshole but at least he has some views different from his party's standard
