The Mighty Norse God of Thunder and Lightning Descends Upon the Eastern United States After Killing
Winter Storm Thor pushed into the Ohio Valley and South Wednesday with heavy rain that turned to snow in many areas, as the day wore on. Earlier in the week, in the Rockies and Midwest, the storm killed at least seven. At least 199 people have been reportedly injured, including 148 people hospitalized in the Omaha, Nebraska, area after slipping and falling on ice.
This is the same long-track, multi-day system that dropped heavy snow across the Southwest and rare hail across beaches in Southern California earlier this week.
Overnight Wednesday into Thursday, some 88 million people will be feeling the effects from Thor.
"We are seeing cold air bleed farther and farther south into a broad zone of precipitation," said weather.com senior meteorologist Nick Wiltgen. "This is causing rain to change to freezing rain and sleet and eventually snow, and this sequence could turn roads into skating rinks for many areas."
That's one hell of a title
Starting to get the cold air here. Scorpious I think we live very close- we spoke a while ago. Our snow estimate here is 8-10 inches plus the possibility for more on Friday.

I live in South Jersey.
Right now, it's just raining a little, but it's been raining for the better part of the day now. All of it's bound to turn to ice pretty soon.

I live in North Alabama, went from 79 degrees with thunderstorm warnings, to 30 with "winter storm warnings."
What a time to be alive, tornado season is going to be a fucking party.
I live in Minnesota, I already got the storm. But I'm catching a plane in the morning to PAX East in Boston.
I'm following it. Shit.

High of 28 here in New Mexico. Shit sucks, man.
Meanwhile dip-shit Conressmen are arguing that "there's snow on the ground, the climate can't POSSIBLY be changing!"
Like fuck it isn't, we usually have fucked-up winters here in New Mexico, but I don't remember it ever being this god-damned cold in the winter before.
High today: 80F.

Welcome to the continental US, the place where the weather patterns are made up and the season doesn't matter!
Greetings from Northern Virginia.
It's fucking cold here.

...what storm. Snow barely fell. Was supposed to be a blizzard. All I got was 1" of powder.
So Winter Storm Sparta was why he had 8 inches of snow last week. Man these names are getting pretty wild.
Thor isn't going to give us much trouble besides black ice and maybe some snow.
By thors hammer this is great news, get fucked yankees, america belongs to the nords!

Ahahah it missed Upstate New York. Have fun with the apocalypse, southern states!
Got at least 6 inches so far near Philly, and it's getting higher. It looks like I'll have two extra days of spring break!
Fuck me, Thor is cumming everywhere
Ohioan near Dayton here.
Fuck that snow, it was actually starting to get a little warmer with the nice rain melting away the old snow and then it turned INTO snow, freezing the rain that had fell making everything slicker than fucking snot.
I couldn't hardly take three steps outside without almost falling on my ass.
If I hadn't shoveled my driveway this morning I'd have 8-9 inches of snow. Thankfully it's at 2-3 again now but the snow keeps coming.
