Jeremy Corbyn has claimed that 9/11 was "manipulated" to make it look like Osama Bin Laden was responsible to allow the West to go to war in Afghanistan.
In comments that will raise questions about his suitability to lead the Labour Party, Mr Corbyn appeared to blame George Bush and Tony Blair for using the September 11 attacks in New York to allow them to go to war.
In a series of further articles, Mr Corbyn also appears to endorse controversial conspiracy theories about a “New World Order”.
14 years late dude
I know we have many far left on this forum, but this guy is a fruit cake and has guaranteed labour to not win in 5 years time, i am okay with that.
Yeah holy shit, better late than never.
14 years late dude
Better late than never, right ?
I'd like to know exactly what he actually said. The media have a bad habit of taking his comments and spinning them into ridiculous, out of context, sensationalist headlines.
Man who believes in the NWO and Illuminati says 9/11 was manipulated. Shocking revelation.

Yeah 5 more years of this watery spunk Tory government whoo hooo

Dude, you even called me far left and I think this guy is fucking nuts.

He does?
Except he didn't say this. Again.
“Historians will study with interest the news manipulation of the past 18 months.. After September 11, the claims that bin Laden and al-Qaida had committed the atrocity were quickly and loudly made. This was turned into an attack on the Taliban and then, subtly, into regime change in Afghanistan.”
Jeremy Corbyn said in 2003. This is not news.
Actually if you read the quote properly he says it was the Media that manipulated it. Not Bush or Blair.
According to the media Jeremy Corbyn is the second coming of Hitler.
Except he didn't say this. Again.

SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, He's clearly a lunatic, don't you see? Don't ruin the immersion and go back to jerk the penis of the guy sitting to your right.
Good ol' Torygraph. What a load of shit.

He's saying it was news manipulation from the administrations to blame Osama.
He does?

In an article for “Labour Briefing” in 1991, Mr Corbyn wrote: “We now know that the Gulf War was a curtain-raiser for the New World Order: the rich and powerful, white and western will be able to maintain the present economic order with free use of all the weapons they wish for.”
That same year, he said in Socialist Campaign Group News: “The aim of the war machine of the United States is to maintain a world order dominated by the banks and multinational companies of Europe and North America.”
Reminds me of this.
Can we just get rid of this fucking nut, the centre left needs a proper representative unless we want a shitty tory dictatorship.

Unfortunately our chances of an alternative and better representative are scarily unlikely. The state of politics here now is atrocious.

I was hoping Dan Jarvis would step up myself, but he doesn't seem interested.

Is he wrong?
He says things a bit bluntly and simply, maybe not always factually perfect (not outright nonsense though), but he's not wrong. Even if Afghanistan was fully Taliban's fault, the reaction it led to was completely far beyond ensuring security of the United States or anybody else. You forgot about that whole fake WMDs thing? That wasn't manipulation of the situation? Yes it fucking was.
And regarding gulf war, again, he's not incorrect. The weapons manufacturing, pro-war lobby is one of the strongest ones in the United States, and it's strong and well across Europe, too. This is well known and documented, and there's big fucking money in that whole, and if you admit that lobbies have an effect on the democratic governments, then you have to admit they also influence the policies, and you have to admit that the Big Money had hand in the wars.
I don't see what's so outrageous about this. He might be a bit crude with his rhetoric but he's essentially right.

That's all irrelevant, saying stuff like this makes him an unelectable crackpot lunatic

We didn't invade Afghanistan for WMDs. You're mistaking Afghanistan for Iraq. We certainly did use the fear of 9/11 to invade Iraq. But he's talking about Afghanistan and Osama.
[editline]27th September 2015[/editline]
Aka he's fucking wrong and thinks the NWO is real. At a glance from an American, he's a nut.

The pro war lobby is terrifying.
you have to admit that the Big Money had hand in the wars.
Well, no. There wasn't really any involvement of big money, because even if we worked off the logic that it was done for the self-interest of powerful moneyed interests, then they did an exceptionally bad job at advancing and preserving their interests.
No matter how narrowly or widely you define a group and their interests, the wars in the region over the past twenty years haven't made any sense for either the big corporations or the national interest.
That's all irrelevant, saying stuff like this makes him an unelectable crackpot lunatic
He's sort of right though and it's likely the media twisted his words in a way that makes him look bad.
