Air Canada plane 'exits' Halifax runway while landing, 23 people hurt

Businessman Mike Magnus told the agency: "It was so chaotic at the time. I'm pretty sure the landing gear broke. The engine on my side popped off."

They probably were expecting [i]something[/i] with weather that bad, but they didn't really have much of a choice other than to take a risk with that landing. At least for hitting a power pylon, there seems to be no severely wounded or dead.

Kinda reminds you of that diehard movie where they shut down the runway lights and "hacked" the ILS to make the runway go lower so that planes would just crash hard onto the runway.
